In the welfare nanny state that we live in and will be living in for the foreseeable future, if you take morality out of the equation, is it not cheaper for taxpayers to pay for a one time abortion than to pay for food, education, welfare, Medicaid, prison, drug rehab, etc. for all of these unwanted babies born to unfit parents?

In the meantime, you can still preach the perceived evils of abortion and teach sex ed and make contraception easily available.

You can decrease the number of abortions without making it illegal or pulling funding.

You must not have heard many arguments on this before.

Yes, that it's morally reprehensible.

The original purpose of planned parenthood was to decrease the number of african americans. The founder was an avid racist. That is why most clinics are in african american neighborhoods.

Without abortion America would be an absolute disaster right now.

George HW Bush would have been the last Republican president in American history

That may have originally true but I'm pretty sure that upscale retail areas have codes which pretty much relegate PPs to the hood now

Are there secular arguments against killing a 10-year old kid? Try those

Well, you can be atheist and still mostly have moral beef with it. Honestly, I'm more agnostic and hate abortions morally but often wonder about keeping them legalized fiscally

Honestly, most people having them who can't afford them have very little to offer society or the gene pool other than more dependents.

Yup. I am agnostic, libertarian, and pro-life. Abortion is either getting a haircut or murder; you either believe it is human life or just a random cluster of cells that you are getting rid of. I will also add, there are many that think abortion is ok or necessary in a fiscal sense, I find that to be morally reprehensible.

really? you are actually postulating this premise? so, if we take morality out of the equation, would it not be cheaper to let me rob your house and rape your wife than pay for a constant police force and courts? and if i must kill you to do it, so be it.
if morality is to play no part in society, then can we enslave black folks again?
i suggest that you may want to rethink your idea.

Well, I mean, my opposition to theft, assault, murder, rape etc etc all have moral components to them.........so, I'm not sure of your point.

People who perform abortions are probably, and unequivocally fricked.
