Treasury officials said Monday that businesses will be told to "certify" that they are not shedding full-time workers simply to avoid the mandate. Officials said employers will be told to sign a "self-attestation" on their tax forms affirming this, under penalty of perjury.

None of their business. You can fire workers for whatever reason you want.

Saw this on the news last night.

So if the employer mandate doesn't apply b/c you have less than 50 employees, you be f'ed. Unfortunately, that also applies to me directly

Seems like you'd be better off saying you did fire them because of obamacare. No risk of perjury hanging over your head.

I truly hope that John Roberts never gets another night's sleep knowing that he could have killed this fricking abomination in its crib when he had the chance.

What?

Maybe you're better off just conducting your business and not swearing any oaths to the government that you don't have to.

That's because it took until page 3 for them to figure out what they were outraged over.

Business owners should say that they did fire workers to get under 50, and attach a picture of their a-hole.

So your choices are:
A: Do what we say and go out of business.
B: Go to jail.

Gotcha.

Ok. I'm confused.

What are the repercussions of firing employees due to the employer mandate and being upfront about it?

Is the implication that there will be consequences for businesses that fire employees for this reason?

If so, that's a huge "Oh, shite" moment.

You have to implement the ACA at your business by January 2015.

Yep. The SCOTUS should've nuked this POS to hell when they had the chance.

But unbelievably, those pansies were more worried about keeping the court above politics.

Businesses affected by this should:

1. Obtain the required IRS exemption form
2. Write "I did not do anything wrong. I plead the 5th Amendment. (Thanks, Lois Lerner.)" on it.
3. File an appeal/suit if (when) the IRS rejects the exemption.

It SO fricking burns me how people were lauding the decision as a strong retrenchment of the Commerce Clause, while completely ignoring the completely limitless power he granted to Congress under the taxing power.

Guilty of fricking treason IMO. He had to have been paid off.
