Just imagine the reaction here if that thread title were true instead of being exactly the case with Trump:
quote:

President Trump’s budget calls for sharply reducing funding for programs that shelter the poor and combat homelessness — with a notable exception: It leaves intact a type of federal housing subsidy that is paid directly to private landlords. One of those landlords is Trump himself, who earns millions of dollars each year as a part-owner of Starrett City, the nation’s largest subsidized housing complex. Trump’s 4 percent stake in the Brooklyn complex earned him at least $5 million between January of last year and April 15, according to his recent financial disclosure.

Pardon my confusion, but what types of programs/funding are actually being cut, and what percentage do they make up of the total federal housing subsidies?

That's chump change for Trump and other OT-level ballers.

Or perhaps the administration thinks housing aid is run more efficiently when it is provided privately?

from your article

While there is no indication that Trump himself was involved in the decision, it is nonetheless a stark illustration of how his financial interests can directly rise or fall on the policies of his administration.

next time try harder.

p.s. i'm glad sessions is screwing with your weed.

I agree that Trump is almost certainly too incurious to actually be personally involved. (Ditto Russians - I much more believe incompetence than I believe collusion or anything else.)

It is virtually impossible for anyone -- ANYONE -- that does anything in the real world to avoid these GOTCHA claims.

Obama is the exception, because he never did anything to have a conflict.

So, is Trump not allowed to have any input or take any action on real estate? If he tries to help real estate owners it will obviously help him as well.

Right. Which is why the very long and strong tradition has been disinvestment or conversion to blind trust.

Saint Trump protects housing subsidies for the poor! Democrats rejoice!

So.

Is it the position of liberals that if confronted with a choice between bad policy or good, a politician MUST choose the bad policy if the good policy would benefit them in any way?

No wonder liberals only want career politicians

Well that is a snappy rejoinder.

Do keep underestimating him and I will keep enjoying that filthy bitch not being president.

Oh, nevermind. Trump was not even involved in this loophole or even in the discussion at all.

Fake News.

Did you really think you were clever with the title?

Your name says everything about what someone will be reading in the OP.

No.

Look into George Kaiser, billionaire Obama fundraiser and big Solyndra investor. You should remember Solyndra, you and everyone you know is paying the 535 million loan for the company, loaned to them after it was known that they had a foot in the grave.
