I don't believe that everyone saying "this is how all guys talk" believes what they're saying.
Trump's base consists of people that were tired of voting for another cookie cutter candidate. They were willing to take the good with the bad here. A lot of the rest of what's being said in this thread is rationalization.

Because it's a straight man expressing heterosexual desires and Trump had the benefit of running against the Clintons who had their own sex related baggage with Rapin Bill's victims.

Most people had a pretty low bar for then-candidate Trump. His supporters didn't care when the tape came out and his detractors already considered him of low moral character anyway. It didn't flip many voters, though it did temporarily drive down support among the GOP base. FWIW I believe he never got some of those back. He made up for it in the rust belt with disaffected blue-collar types who honestly think we're going to restore manufacturing to pre-1980s levels or something.

For sure, and that was my first point in this thread. To rationalize it, many have had to abandon their supposed principles. A lot of these people are the same ones that caught a case of the vapors over Bill's blow job while President.
