Anybody who knows anything about the stock market knows that it is doesn't make sense to compare small sets of data.
Look at the last 10 years instead:
Or the last 5
That doesn't paint the same picture as the OP. In fact, if you looked at 2008 til now, you'd think Obama righted the ship after the recession.

You do know that the Fed printed and dumped 2 Trillion more dollars in to the economy by this time in Obama's Presidency don't you?
Since WWII, Democrat presidents have averaged 9.7% returns, while Republican presidents have averaged only 6.7%. Do you have 70 years of excuses?
Or, you can chalk it up to luck/coincidence and realize that the president has little impact on the market.

I'm not one to directly associate a President with market performance but, ya know, I will happily do this

I have to admit I missed the rise; I thought the market would decline regardless of whether Clinton or Trump were elected. I didn't think Trump had a chance in hell of winning and obviously I underestimated his positive business influence.

I love how that graph only shows Obama's last two months
Well, its like Les Miles' offense. Comparing how he started to where he ended up, and then how Ensminger took the same players and exploded . . . .
Ya just have to say that Obama and Miles both outlived their usefulness to the organization. Because their personal beliefs overrode what was best for the group

CNN: Obama set the stage for Trump to be successful

Here's the DJIA with inauguration dates circled.
Republicans are always killing it. Not in a good way.
Next crash will be in Trump's term. Book it.

You do know that the stock market completely stalled for the last 2 years of Obama after the quantitative easing stopped

Yikes. Two years of stagnation can have a pretty big impact on a long term investment.
Know how I know you're a poor?

Show the graph from election night. Right after the polls closed the DJ dropped, then when it became apparent Trump was going to win it exploded and hasn't stopped climbing since. TRUMP was the reason that it happened and anything else said is lies and bullshite.

The fed refused to raise rates under Obama which has created an artificially inflated stock market. Trump is benefiting from the same policy of permanently low interest rates.

Maybe you pissed away a fortune and Horseshoe Bay is a major step down?
Posted on 9/29/17 at 4:57 pm to Korkstand
Then why do I always make more money when Republicans are President?

Stock market grew faster during obama's first term. So...

Maybe, but DJI sat at 7,062.93 on 2/1/2009, and 20,812.24 on 2/1/2017.
And it only took spending 10 Trillion more dollars than we had to pump the market up to that.
