Open By Easter (The states are more incharge to make decisions currently. this is just a rally call.)

People wanting to keep things closed to hurt his re-election changes (this virus is real, people are dying AND there is no vaccine)

I voted for him and will again. He has done a very good job so far, but I feel like he is making these empty statements knowing that either way it makes no difference other than to help his approval rating.

Easter is probably a lofty goal. I have no problem with setting goals. There are blue check marks on Twitter legitimately rooting for this to get bad so it hurts Trump. Those are few idiots but they exist.

We just need real data to support one way or the other imo. Testing only the sick leads to bad results. If we could do more mass testing we may find this thing isn’t nearly as scary and kickstart the economy back into gear.

Ah, yes, because all the real Trump supporters always begin their arguments with "Im a Trump support." Grand.

Do you want a coach telling his team - "you're arse is cooked. Might as well throw in the towel?"

One thing this country DESPARATELY needs is someone pushing against the set narrative.

We need to call this off AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I don't know when that is, but I do know that prepping people for that reality and the reality that things aren't going to be "all clear" when we do that is absolutely essential.

Sorry for not being a miserable lib who spreads doom and gloom all the time?

This old world needs a little positivity and hope thrown in with reality. Trump does that.

For god’s sake dude, HE DID NOT SET EASTER AS A DEADLINE

He said he “would love” for things to be open by easter

WE ALL WOULD LOVE THAT.

Do you not grasp the difference between saying “I would love that” and “I plan on ordering it”

Are you retarded?

State and local gov'ts are caught up in the copy cat aspect of these current policies. If one state opens back up, the rest of them are going to be under pressure to do the same. Trump doesn't have to force them to do anything. Also, people are running out of patience. They aren't going to continue to sit around at home much longer

I have read:

'I voted for Trump but this time he is wrong' about 23,517 times since he was elected. And a few weeks later we learn that Trump was right.
Don't you people ever learn?

And in context he said not all of the country, hot spots would remain quarantined and areas with a falling curve would be considered for opening.

No, they're not.

Large swaths of the country are relatively untouched by this and will remain relatively untouched by this. They should stay closed for months or years? THAT is some bullshite, right there. Not what Trump is saying.

quote:

Well, the Dems kind of do want to milk this for absolutely as much damage as they inflict on him. That's 100% accurate.

Of course the virus is real. So is influenza. The vaccine for the flu is sometimes extremely ineffective. I hate to rehash it for you, but we lose 60k to 80k in really bad flu seasons - yet we do not shut down a $20T economy when it happens.

We did virtually nothing in 2009 when 12k died from H1N1 (we did develop a vaccine for down the line).

The panic here is far more dangerous than this actual virus.

Great. Glad you're on the team.

Your feelings don't really matter to me, Trump, or really anyone outside your family. I "feel" this statement calls into question your status as a Trump supporter, though.

What matters is results. The measures are working. We are defeating the virus. We are developing the resources to keep the hospitals from being overrun.

We cannot burn the village to save it.
