what is different between your preferences and that of Ellison?
Do you know the Democratic platform?
If so, are your basic wishes for the USA addressed in the platform? If so, why would your reactivity about the personality or doings of Ellison matter.
There are only so many ways to manifest your preferences. We are not a parliamentary system. I wish we were.
If there were 5 or 6 solid parties, your issues about Ellison could be expressed.
I doubt you can find common ground with the Republican platform unless you are a fundamentalist coal miner.

The choice of Ellison is as much about liberals feeling good as it is about leadership. They will be able to point to him as evidence as of their tolerance despite them continuing to do as they usually do.

Hard to beleive that is the straw that broke the Camel's back. I mean not much difference in Ellison and Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Huma, or Hillary.
