If Trump gave a damn about America...

... he would have put his company in a blind trust.
He can't run the country and a company at the same time, and it would be the height of naïveté to think he's not on the phone every day with Don jr and Eric trying to influence deals bts.
It's obvious to the objective eye that the President doesn't give a damn about anything but his legacy. If he truly loved this country, he would make that sacrifice.

Other than that I get your point. He should put his blind trust in a blind trust to protect his billion dollar corporate business which he runs better than any of them would.

Absolutely agreed. I do not understand how this necessitates that he would be unable to make decisions for the greater benefit of the country, though. He certainly can do this, but I haven't seen much evidence of this, but by its nature, real estate value is going to be tied to a country's relative prosperity.

His family members could be the directors and run all their personal expenses through the foundation. Even more money could be raised by the charity by taking donations from corporations and foreign governments, since it will be his family and not him running the foundation there will be no chance of him selling the influence of his office.
