Are they fighting/training for? What a confusing committment to choose at this point in history.

They are fighting for Empire and the ability of DC and globalist to take away liberties, steal theirs children quality of life through stolen taxes. They are fighting against the average American.

Afghanistan withdrawal probably inspired countless youth to join. “Do nothing, leave our stuff, let Glen Beck rescue whoever he can”

I served. Military was great to me.

However, I would not encourage anyone to join the service under any circumstances now. I encourage everyone to not support our government or country any longer.

When you're young and eager to serve your country it doesn't really matter who the Commander-In-Chief is at the time. You just want to be the best soldier you could possibly be to defend your country, if and when the time comes.
I've been there and done that...and now I feel as though the military, under our current administation and leadership, is spiralling downward.

Eh, that's maybe 20%-30%. Most of them are learning skills that translate more to the civilian world than that of mercenaries.

One has to make it work for them with either technical training, maturity, discipline, whatever else they want to get out of it.

I would not recommend any of that 'I love America and just want to waste enemies of Freedom!' stuff that suckered up the GWOT generation.
