I'm sure that was the same kind of group think the average German engaged in prior to WW II. Except they used Zircon B in showing their love.
Even one voice can sometimes be heard above the hew and cry of those who would make the earth a one-species planet.

quote:not if you count food as a resource, global food production is growing faster and outpacing population growth and has been for about 25 years or so. So we now have more food then the world needs with the production of that food increasing at a faster rate the the production of people
Resources are dwindling faster than they ever have and if humans completely stopped propagating today it would be three decades before the increasing demand for resources was affected.
There is only one resource that is scarce, one resource that lack of which causes hunger. That is $$$
hunger is a societal problem moreso than a resource problem

You are losing focus. Regroup.

Heaton isn't pro-life, she's pro-birth. She has no concern for the effect of a severe disability on the parents or the child after it's born. The vast majority of people who know their pregnancy will result in a severely defective child will choose to abort if that is a legal option.
That is an outright lie perpetuated by the pro murder crowd. Most parents are coerced into aborting a healthy baby more often than one that is ill.
Downs should not be a capital offence.

Sorry, right wingers, this moderate needs to get down to the lake. My kayak won't row itself.

Fine, then she shouldn't have an abortion. However, she seems not to care a whit about the lives that are destroyed when a woman is forced to have an unwanted child.
This comment describes an incredibly selfish point of view. Oh so we kill people because they might inconvenience us? It might get in the way of our hedonistic pursuit of pleasure..

I see this as a great thing. Amazing so many here want people to suffer with mental or physical illness. And not only the afflicted but also the family.
Unless you are abnormally well off caring for a down-person is a lifelong exhausting position to be in. Typically the parents will struggle financially and emotionally for years until the parents die or become dependent themselves. Then the burden of care is shifted onto the healthy children (if any) or relative who has no choice but to take them in. All the while the down-person is living life at 5% capacity.
I guess most here also want the paraplegic, brain dead and intestine-less brought into existence to experience the misery of being alive in a world full of life they themselves will never be able to fully appreciate.
Oh, and abortion isn't murder because they aren't people yet. Just an fyi.

It's concerning if physicians aren't aware of this, and don't consider the potential of a false positive in the screening process.

100% truth Unfortunately. You place the future burden of care on your other children or family members as well.

Okay, but who pays for unwanted children?
You beg the question of what "unwanted" means, and your dumb question assumes that human life and the rights attendant thereto are a function of mere economics.
In short, you are a fascist Nazi monster.

Right after you say, "I'm a dumb dick that doesn't give a shite about poor people. I just want as many of them to be born as possible."
So you care about the potentially downtrodden so much, you advocate killing them before they are born. There is no fault in that logic.

I bet it would be really easy to eradicate various diseases and sicknesses if we simply killed those afflicted.

there's a great reality show on A&E that you need to watch called Born This Way. It shows all about young adults with down syndrome and how they live on their own
