per CBS tweet.

Actress Patricia Heaton then roasted CBS with this gem:

quote:

"Iceland isn't actually eliminating Down Syndrome. They're just killing everybody that has it. Big difference," she wrote.

The link below also contains other tweets that roast CBS & Iceland.

You're thinking of Ancient Sparta as depicted in 300.

They wanted to eliminate some type of people from the world and they picked those with downs. There are so many better places to start.

No wonder nobody takes them seriously.

Back in 2014, Heaton admitted to TheBlaze that her pro-life stance is not a popular one in Hollywood.

Heaton isn't pro-life, she's pro-birth. She has no concern for the effect of a severe disability on the parents or the child after it's born. The vast majority of people who know their pregnancy will result in a severely defective child will choose to abort if that is a legal option.

She added, “I find it impossible to subscribe to a philosophy that believes that the destruction of human life is a legitimate solution to a problem that is mostly social, economic and psychological.”

Fine, then she shouldn't have an abortion. However, she seems not to care a whit about the lives that are destroyed when a woman is forced to have an unwanted child.

So who decides who lives or dies? Down Syndrome kids definitely feel like their life is worth saving. With your line of thinking, let's just go ahead and kill grandma when she can no longer take care of herself bc it is an inconvenience.

If the mother's life is in danger then that is one thing but saying someone's life will be "destroyed" bc they have to take care of an disabled child is another.

So who pays for the unwanted children? Who provides for severely defective children who will never be able to live on their own, or, in many cases, who don't even know they're living?

The taxpayer? No, I'll bet you're going to say the parents of the child should take responsibility and love and provide for the child because, yeah, that always happens. Always.

So those with disabilities aren't lives?

If I become paralyzed or suffer a brain injury, should my family just kill me because I'm an inconvenience?

You do realize that there is nothing inherent in what you wrote that restricts that "logic" to pre-vaginal exit, right?

I mean, unwanted children occur after birth also.

Considering Downs isn't really hereditary, that seems unlikely

3 year old child falls into a pool and suffers debilitating brain injury.

The child hasn't contributed to any means of support for itself and never will. Plus it's an inconvenience to the family.

Kentucker agrees with this. I mean, you obviously don't care about the parents of the child. You only care about not killing a child with a debilitating injury.

I think welfare programs should be available to people who can't afford to take care of a disabled child. And yes I believe a parent would love their child disabled or not.

You know absolutely nothing about Downs Syndrome. The vast majority are highly functional and can read, write and have an actual job. There is even a small percentage <5% that live completely independent lives. A larger figure live partially independent lives through facilities. That number is growing every day
