Perhaps those 500K newly unemployed would do those low-level jobs (if that's even the case) instead of remaining unemployed but thanks to open borders they don't even have that option.
Some are even being fired and replaced by the illegals

FYI 11 out of the last 13 jobs reports have been revised down from the original headline-generating numbers
They cook the books for the monthly report then quietly when no one is paying attention they revise it down two months later

Absolutely. They will eat the shite sandwiches because they have to and employers love that. Remember when we used to talk about “ offshoring “ jobs. Now we offshore jobs without having to leave the country.

Anyone who receives public assistance should have no choice about working. It doesn't matter if they want the job or not. An illegal should find it impossible to get work.

One plant I did consulting with had a 95% workforce of one group of "native born" citizens. Three months later it was down to 60%. The influx of those that didn't speak English was basically due to that other group too worried about they hair extensions and nails and why they couldn't rock they gold chains on the assembly line.

I believe strongly illegals have taken over the day to day operations at the McDonald's near my house from locals.
The last few times I've been there the service has been very fast, the restaurant is very clean, and the food has been freshly cooked and hot.
Sure they don't speak English well, but neither do the locals.

I've been saying for a couple of decades now that two things should never simultaneously exist - welfare and taxpayer-funded services.

I'll say it for you: immigration hurts blacks the most as a whole due to their lack of upward mobility. Many of us live in areas where they haven't found a way to become quality, skilled employees. Then you see businesses grab the illegals, who aren't difficult to legally employ, amd benefit off of them.

Old enough to remember when blacks used to work low-paying jobs. And then they could work up from there. Those are gone.
When was the last time you went to a construction/highway project and saw more than a handful of blacks? If it wasn't for government jobs, blacks would be SOL.

They even put a number to it...I want to say it's something like $1,800 a year.
The Republicans should never stop citing that phenomenon.
"So, Senator, what do you think about Climate Change?"
"I think that Joe Biden's refusal to secure the border is costing inner city black Americans thousands of dollars a year and we have research to prove it."
That should be their answer to every question.

If you abolish or at least severely reduce the number of people on welfare those people will get jobs. They will be paying taxes instead of receiving tax money (welfare).
