I know your question is rhetorical, but it's not for the reason you think. New York law forbids cameras in the courtroom. Been the law there for almost 100 years. They experimented with cameras in the courtroom for 10 years in the 80s and 90s, but when that law expired it was not renewed.

FTR, two Democratic State Senators introduced a bill in 2023 to allow cameras in courtrooms in advance of the Trump trials. The bill keeps passing in the Senate and dying in Assembly. Both houses are dominated by the Democratic party.

This is certainly excellent context with information of which I was previously unaware.

That's a bs law by NY though. Taxpayers fund the judicial system, so why should they not be allowed to witness video of (in specific particular) very high profile cases featuring prominent public officials, so long as doing so would not jeopardize secondary and tertiary legal matters?

Neither here nor there, though, as it is.

Hmm. And all this started with you claiming that no one has any idea what the underlying crimes are lol.

That's the most frustrating part of all this. Just fess up. You made a stupid claim. It's all good. You learned and we move on. But you keep moving the goalposts as if I've claimed that I have proof that trump is guilty. I haven't claimed anything other than the underlying crimes have been listed and are known. It's not a fricking mystery.

You are correct. I was incorrect to say “crimes”. I should have said “charges”.

Thank you. It took much, much longer than it should have but I appreciate the honesty here.

That's bad for Trump - it admits that the payments to Cohen were not for legal services, but rather a reimbursement.

Kind of blows up Trump's entire defense. Oops.

Yes of course. Thousands of cases are clogging the judicial system because an accountant puts a ledger entry under the wrong heading. All billionaires dictate every ledger entry just like all ex presidents pack their own offices when leaving the White House.

It’s funny that the MSM’s current gotcha question to Republicans is will you accept the out come of the election. This case is proof the Dims still aren’t accepting 16.

You dumb idiot. Trump relying on counsel lying to him proves trumps intent? .

Only your simpleton mind could spin this as bad for Trump. Cohen admitted to grand larceny of well over 160k. He was stealing from Trump, not for him. You have to be biggest a-hole In real Life

So if my lawyer buys a plate and then chargers me 3 times the value of the money he spent on the plate it’s good. Then the lawyer tells the accountant that it was legal services for the purchase of a cup then it’s my fault for how it’s recorded? GTFO with your stupid shite

That trial judge is a POS of the highest order. Damn

The guy is one of these TDS psychos that wakes up and goes to bed every night obsessed with his irrational hatred of Trump. He probably watches MSNBC non-stop... and he's the judge deciding Trump's fate in this trial. It's pathetic.

That’s the scary part. Whether you’re voting for or against Trump politically, the ability of the government to take him to court over and over, civil and criminal, levy heavy settlements after changing laws, should scary everyone.

If he can be railroaded in court why can’t they to you or I who doesn’t have millions of dollars?

You never responded to my question about if the underlying crimes, elements, and evidence of intent were presented.

More like 60k. And it wouldn't have been larceny if Trump's cover story was true - that it was for legal services rendered.

Oops.

You think a billionaire signing checks needs any cover story other than “I relied on counsel and my professionals?” What a moron you are. Your legal conclusions are the exact opposite of what they should be given the testimony. Even CNN said Cohen’s testimony was a disaster for the state. Yet here you are ignorantly jumping up and down saying “we got him now”. You are so far left you are miles past CNN. Think about that. Youre a fringe lunatic.

They. do. not. care.

Anything to get rid of the "biggest threat to democracy" is justified in their minds.
