Why didn't he do it?
After all he said that he doesn't believe that weed is dangerous and states should do whatever they want to do with it.
There was a whole lot of political capital to gain from it, especially after his party lost the election and force Trump and his AG pick to respond to it and defend themselves.

Have you ever head of someone dying from a weed overdose?
I don't smoke weed, never have and never will but there's no legit scientific and medical reason why it should be illegal considering that alcohol kills more people per month indirectly than weed has ever done directly.

It is my firm belief, and has been for years, that the American drug policies are, by far, the largest contributors to inequality and injustice our nation faces.

The tax revenue would be worth it.

Throw in the welfare state and it's not difficult to see how we have gotten where we are.

Melt. Sometimes people share common purpose. Everyone who derives satisfaction from ridiculing the weaklings and clowns can have some degree of fun. It makes them (you) better.
Don't be a bitch about it. Just let it happen.

Doesn't mean that purpose is good.

I don't know man but this sounds really creepy and douchey to me.

It was easier to let the states handle it themselves, then refrain from pursuing legal action. That way no one could blame him for legalizing weed or preventing states from doing it.

Removing weed from schedule one has nothing to do with interfering with state policy towards weed. It was and still is a the domain of the federal government and the President is well within his rights to do that.
Obama missed a huge opportunity for his party but I definitely think they're going to make the War on Drugs their signature issue sooner or later like they used gay marriage against the GOP.

You know the site has a pretty decent search function, right?
I guess no.

Only goes back several months IIRC and google search is like finding a needle in a haystack.
So congrats to Iosh for all his hard work?

Was this is bad as you pissed yourself in a drunken stupor the night hillary lost?

Obama really disappointed me with not acting on the weed issue. He was certainly better than any of his predecessors but he could've done much more and it wouldbe been popular with most of the population. Esp in his second term.
