I don't think it would be a terrible choice, but not my favorite.

No way. I think Trump is making a smart play to massage Romney's ego and pick his brain tho

Romney would be fine. I trust trump to fire people if they suck. Romney has had a lot of success in life. He'd be fine.

It would be a signal that Trump is not the real deal.

What foreign relations experience does he have?

Secretary of State is too important a job to use as a consolation prize for the intra-party opposition, which is how we got Secretary Clinton.

Nearly everything Romney said about foreign policy back in 2012 was proven correct and Obama was wrong.

Obama won that election for different reasons.

I understand why people don't want Mitt as SecState but its ignorant as hell to act like he wouldn't be a capable and worldly enough guy for the job.

Why the hell put someone that vehemently opposed even the thought of you being President in that spot in your administration? Makes no sense.

I'd be fine with it.
Sec of State is all about diplomacy, negotiations, and management--Romney's strong points.
Trump has built an empire out of placing the right people in the right places.
Assembling his advisory team will be second nature to him.

Turn enemies into allies. It would be following the Abraham Lincoln model.

Just trying to be subtle, I believe more people get the message that way.

Happens all the time.

As much of a piece of shite I know Abe Lincoln is, it worked really really well for him and especially during the civil war.
