But Ms. Coleman’s contention that jurors should accept that blacks and whites often live in different worlds rather than as equal members of a polyglot American society is a problematic explanation, writes J. Christian Adams on the Pajamas Media website.

“Coleman sounds like John C. Calhoun, the South’s leading defender of slavery and segregation,” he writes. “Calhoun believed that blacks and whites could never live together, and that after any emancipation they’d forever be ‘worlds apart.’

Not sure where you got that - I have only heard that she speaks "creole" and Spanish.

blacks and whites could never live together, and that after any emancipation they’d forever be ‘worlds apart

Is this the problem we have?

a meme has developed claiming she speaks creole and spanish

Technically Spanglish could be considered a creole

The Left rallies as apologists for Jeantel's lies for the same reason they do for Obama's. Double standard...moving toward no standard, in order to serve a particular ideology.

A shame they couldn't take Martin Luther Kings axiom to heart..."not by the color of the skin but the content of the character".

What's funny is how the media is trying to portray this as a black vs. white race issue when the parties involved are both considered minorities in this country.

It's that and much more. It's the attempt to normalize RAMPANT black social pathology and pseudo-criminalize traditional notions of functional behavior and decorum.

In essence we are being told that we are RACIST (!!!) for recognizing and placing value with efficient, clear, honest communication.
The Truth Patrol is making the rounds. I love it.

You just described the programming philosophy of MSNBC and most of the rest of the media as well.

re: How Rachel Jeantel went from star witness to 'train wreck'
She lied on the stand and they are blaming a language barrier. Apparently if you are black you'd see things differently.

There were serious inconsistencies with her testimony and she was called out on them.

It is not because she's black or because she can't read. It's because there were inconsistencies in her story.

Her testimony was a train wreck for the prosecution. It is becoming obvious that GZ is Hispanic and that he'll walk. The liberal elite need something else to drive a wedge between blacks and the rest of society, and this is it.
