I’m 38 I vote straight republican. It wasn’t always like that, I grew up in a family that voted on real politics, when politicians had real policies. My grandparents voted for JFK, also Regan. My parents voted I remember, George H the first time then Clinton twice, but no more dem votes after that. My first time voting was for G W’s second term, after that i got caught up in the young cool Obama, because I was 24 and couldn’t relate to the old John McCain, so I voted for him his first term, after what i saw him do to my family with the economy, I never voted democrats again , and have been a hardcore republican ever since.

I know a lot of Gen Zs/millennials that vote Republican. There are just more young Dem voters. They hammer their message to the masses and own the youth to the point that even speaking about any remotely right wing political value just feels like jumping into a piranha tank.

The only time I have voted for a (D)em is for Edwin Edwards vs David Duke and voted once for Kip Holden.

I have personally never seen someone under age of 32 vote republican
I voted Republican in my first election in 2001 at 18.
I voted for a democrat in 2002 as well but it was Charlie Stenholm. I’ve only voted for 2 or 3 in my life though.

I'm in my 30s and have never voted for a Democrat except in a non-partisan election (where they were all Democrats)

If you don't vote Democrat in your 20's, then you don't have a heart.
Much like the father of our country, I had a brain for a heart in my 20's and usually voted straight ticket R. Was pleasantly surprised when I moved to Fort Worth for a job in the early 2000's and there were many positions without a democratic candidate (R vs. L).
I'm sure that has changed.

Male

never voted for Democrat in my lifetime...as we move forward
I will never vote Democrat...Democrats are NOT democrats as I remembered them in the 90s
My issue is many Republicans are bad candidates or politicians.
I vote for the lesser of two evils...to me that's always obvious because Democrats believe in big government. I think it's diabolical

Republican. Use to vote for a few Democrats when I lived in Louisiana and Arkansas. Now, I vote straight party line...unless the Republicans were to run someone like Fetterman.

Voted conservative since I turned 18.
I remember Jimmy Carter.
Grandpa said someone should drop an ‘atom bum’ on Washington DC.
I understand him now.
I voted for David Duke because I knew the real Edwin Edwards.
Down vote me to oblivion.

Early 60's. Republican...the same side I've been voting for since 1979 when I cast my first vote for Dave Treen for governor.

I only voted Republican from 18-mid 20s. Then I grew a brain and stopped looking at candidates based on their party. In my life I’ve voted pretty evenly amongst Republican and Democratic candidates.
Im 39 now and I voted in this election for two democrats, one Republican, and one unaffiliated, I believe. We had a bunch of school board members to vote for.

50 y/o and voted straight Republican ticket. I have voted for Democrats occasionally in the past but not in probably a decade, once they began worshiping Obama and moving the Party platform left. Barring a hard move back to the center and an outright rejection of Marxist ideology, I can't imagine ever voting for another Democrat in any local, state, or national election.

38 Male.
Got fooled once by Kerry. I was young and stupid and was mad that I'd had a few buddies killed in the ME. Every other election I've taken part in, including Tuesday's, has been straight R ticket.

I think I voted for one democrat this year. But he’s a friend of mine in a local election and I didn’t know his party until I got in the booth.
He won.
Voted for at least 3 “no party” candidates. Then all republican on regional and statewide races.

I feel sorry for you for having to make that choice. A huge low point in Louisiana history IMO.
