From my experience there are 3 kinds of Indians.
The reservation Indian. Truly the lowest of the low. Take a trip through the Navajo reservation sometime. You'll find squalor and misery that would make you think you're in a 3rd world country, a poor one at that. If they don't vote 90% plus Democratic I'll be shocked. While I haven't been to some of the Lakota ones I'm told they aren't much better.
The casino Indian. Not as many of them and they'll vote for anyone who keeps the gravy train rolling.
The loners. Smallish family groups who largely work together. Mine is one of the latter. The ones I know rarely come from the rez, it's almost impossible to break them away from that dependency and we tried for years. I don't know a member of my family that doesn't despise progressives and we aren't terribly fond of anyone else.

I understand history though. If you aren't strong enough to keep it someone will take it from you. My ancestors were stupid, should have killed them as soon as they got off the boat.
But we were too busy fighting each other. Say what you will about the white man, he has always been good at sticking together long enough to kill folks they want to.

It's measured in the hundredths. You don't get to throw out an end number that's nearly 5% off and expect people to believe it wasn't a made up bunch of numbers.
