It's much the same thing as blacks on welfare. The truth is that people atrophy under government assistance. The natives' culture may have been destroyed through warfare, but over-subsidizing their subsequent living conditions ruined their dignity. Well, that and booze.

Their victim mentality is not dissimilar to Hispanics who feel that the "border crossed them." The truth is that White Anglo-Saxons, while being a typical western civilization with a manifest destiny mentality, are BY FAR the most accommodating civilized people to govern over another group.
