How do you hack a handcounted and non-internet machine counted election?

Did we have russians counting the votes by hand and supervising the handcount? Did we have russians sneak into our warehouses at night to individuals program the machines to pick trump?

As far as i can tell news organizations are intentionally playing loose with the language to make it sound like Russia hacked the election. When you break it down and read the stories they are talking about the DNC leaks/hack to influence the election. And stupid people have fallen for it so far.

So, let me get this straight. The Russians rigged the election, by releasing information about the Democrats rigging the election?
