How can Dems (in good faith) claim victory in 2018?

"A total of 468 seats in the U.S. Congress (33 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on November 6, 2018." LINK

I've seen multiple Democrats recently proclaim in full public view that they will take back the House in 2018. How in God's name can they make such an outrageous claim? Most of the shift to a GOP majority came during a time when the Dems still showed some signs of political sobriety. It's far worse since DJT rode into town. All this during an 0-5 run in special elections.

I think this further validates their insanity and proves beyond doubt that they're all bad at math. #3rdgraders #spoiledbrats #opportunists #irrational #hysteria #sociopaths

The Democratic Party, home of participation trophies and losing is winning.

They'll lose more on every front.

MSM will try to prop them up, but a lot more folks are awake now and finally caught on to their BS.

This will be a fun election. The melt afterwards may be epic.

The thing is, the DNC won't be able to dump money into all the races like they did with Ossoff. They don't have that kind of money.

Who will they focus on?

And how much fun would the melt be if they lose seats?

Just curious - for accuracy sake can you list the 6 special elections won? And I'm assuming this completely ignores the ca special election won by them dem candidate. Cause I think what this means is you're a spoiled brat with a third grade education who is bad at math #justusingyourstandard

ETA: to answer your question, if they were held today, Dems would likely pick up a few seats. If this abomination of a health care bill is passed it's giving free ammo to the Dems

The DNC has the numbers. But good God they doubled down on stupid after DJT won. They will pay the price for the short term. A strong smart Chairman of the DNC can quickly turn it around.

Remember kids these two have set back the DNC for a while and the RNC has reaped the benefit without doing sh!t.

They won't be able to stop President Trump and the rise of conservatism.

The Dems are counting on Robert Mueller to save their arse by issuing a Special Counsel report finding probable cause to conclude that Trump obstructed justice with Flakey Comey and any number of other fictitious "crimes".

John McCain will cite Mueller's report in calling for the Resignation of President Donald J. Trump. Trump's poll numbers will sink. Democrats run in 2018 on a platform of "Rule of Law against the Criminal-in-Chief".

That's how they expect to win -- as usual, on total bullshite lies, deceit and fabrications. They know they can't win using purely legal and democratic methods, so, they will resort to using other methods.

It might work. Who knows? When John McCain calls that press conference, mass media will treat him like Christ coming to cleanse the Temple. And what does John McCain love MORE THAN being deified by mass media? Probably nothing.

They are hyping it up because they know they will win more of the open seats in the Senate. But they will most likely end up losing seats they already have .

They'll gain a handful of seats and lose some conservative districts 53-47, and then hang a banner for the SEC West co-championship.

Republicans are honest enough to admit Handel (GA6) is about as exciting as watching grass grow. That said, Democrats spend $30 million and still lose? What does that tell you?

Democrats ignore the obvious premise that there are many, many people that share the beliefs of President Trump. More than they'd like to admit. Democrats need to fess up to the fact that they are NOT the smartest people in the room.

John McCain will be leading the charge against Trump in 2018 in return for covert assistance from Dems in challenging Trump in the primary for 2020.

Everytime the GOP starts winning big, John McCain can always be trusted to start helping the other side.

I think they may gain 10+ seats in the house but they want come close to a majority.

The big problem is the Senate. It will be a HUGE win if they can hold their seats there. The map is against them and they are probably going to lose at least two seats.

I'll trade 10-20 house seats for for 2-3 senate seats.

Are there any good faith claims ever made by the Democrats? Please list one Democrat claim that has ever been in the best interests of America.

One factual, accurate and non-divisive claim that betters America in any way?

Because they will "almost" win some for them, which obviously counts as a win.

Trump is the only reason Ossoff even had a chance in a deep red election like that one.

Yeah. 30 million had nothing to do with it.
