No offense bud, but your not being objective in your reading of this thread or seeing a POV in my posts that isn't expressed.

There's a difference between not believing in using birth control and not facilitating the use of birth control. They are against facilitation therefore their investment is hypocritical and undermines the basis of their challenge. If they were so religiously inclined they could invest and provide a 401k that invests in line with their beliefs. It's unfortunate.

The ACA will have to be repealed. Challenges like this are doomed to fail.

honestly, even if most people are going to ignore the fact that HL is only not wanting to pay for specific contraception, this whole thing is ludicrous.

china has MANDATED abortions for certain criteria and I'd wager the vast majority of HL's stock comes from the chicoms.

I mean you gotta draw the line somewhere, some of their money at some point is going to go towards something they don't support, and I'd wager that's true for most of us.

the difference is choosing to, or being forced to.

Plan B is what they oppose (and invest in).

So do the companies they invest in not provide abortifacients? If they do you're back to square 1.

I wish companies would just pay people a full salary and let them get whatever fricking plan they want. I find it just as distasteful that my employer controls my insurance choices.

a fair point, but its still a private organization you voluntarily enter into agreement with.

I think there are some companies that actually did give employees the option of a little extra cash or being placed on an insurance plan.

huh?

Your employer doesn't control your insurance choices. You can certainly purchase your own insurance.

They only object to 4 of the over a dozen forms of contraception that are part of the law but that doesn't fit the liberal narrative of evil woman hating Hobby Lobby's war on women for daring to object to certain parts of the law.

Liberal translation guide:

Pro adoption/anti unborn baby killing equals War on Women

Pro adoption equals war on women

Being for responsibility/abstinence or actually raising a child you risked having equals War on the Poor.

Liberals have groups that fight to protect animal rights but despise those who try to protect unborn babies.

The reality is it isn't important to them they just don't feel they should provide healthcare to their employees.

They already do provide insurance for their employees, and cover most contraceptives. They also pay at about 14.00 an hour.

The Left will never be happy until they grind everybody down into total obedience to the State.

Yo there bud that company isn't Hobby but a different entity altogether and Hobby doesn't control them. But if enough people are made aware of this at the Hobby main office in Atlanta they might change their investors for the future. There is nothing quite like bursting a posters laughter bubble to make for a very good day.

Why should he? I would assume he's a lib. They don't have mutual funds. They wait til they piss away all they have or could plunder then legislate YOUR savings away under the guise of fairness.

There are any number of "ethical" funds that invest according to one moral precept or another. One wonders why Hobby Lobby didn't avail themselves of one of these if they're so principled.
