They have funded a program in Oklahoma (I believe) to bring bible studies as an elective into the public school system. They have funded the publishing of a book to be used in this class.

However, they deserve praise for paying their employees a good wage. Their minimum wage is $14 an hour.

Works out to 28k a year full time.

That's below national median income.

So by what standard is that "good" ?

And they give half of their earnings to charity.

Sure, if by 'charity' you mean non-profit political activist organizations that hate gays.

14 bucks MINIMUM WAGE is good when you compare it to Obama's.

Also compare it to Mc Donald's, Burger King, Walmart, Target, and other national chains and I think it's good.

Now if you think a minimum wage should be more, fine; however, compared to most companies around the country 14 bucks is GOOD.

Perhaps they are more interested in the rewards of the afterlife.

And ... Chik-fil-A is awesome.

It's no wonder they are always packed.

you should write them a letter and tell them how they're running their multi billion dollar corporation like shite.

...or are you just pissed because you're a religion hating, liberal, athiest and they recognize the Sabbath?

sounds damn good for a non skilled clerk. or should we just pay everyone a minimum of 50k, regardless of job?
how about we pay everyone 50k right on the nose, regardless of job?

Which is their right, they are private.

But its a bad management decision. There are only 7 days a week, and they are closing for 14% of the time. If it were a public company, shareholders would rightfully demand this be changed.

I don't eat fast food but I do agree its much better than something like McDs. I haven't had any fast food coming up on 6 years.

I can't find any evidence that supports your claim that they donate to groups that "hate gays".

If every company operated like them, less people would be in poverty, the country would require less money paid out for government assistance due ridiculous charitable giving, and women would still have all of their contraceptive and abortion needs payed for, mostly by their company, the remainder by government programs.

Think about it.
