Once again, the problem here is both wings of the UniParty® are wholly owned assets of the Deep State. No, if Liberty is to continue in this once great nation, it will arise in some form of nullification, subsidiary and even secession movements in the individual states.
The current crisis continues until enough supporters of limited government get over the absurd fantasy that if we would only send the correct slate of electors to the Potomac Beltway, the Republic will be saved. It is the clichéd definition of insanity.

Notice the white people bottom-center-right - "journalists." They told someone to swim in waist-deep water so they can take their picture. Then they'll show how dangerous it is to have borders at all.

Mitt Romney signed the blueprint for the ACA into law as governor of Massachusetts. John McCain campaigned against it as part of his 2008 platform and then was the crucial vote opposing its repeal because of a personal vendetta against Trump. And every single law enforcement agency and surveillance apparatus agency was strengthened during the term of George W. Bush.
One need only look at the "conservative" stalwarts the regime has trotted out in the last quarter century to figure out they're all playing a role. But according to Jake, they're the grownups and libertarians are adolescents. What a great government the grownups have given us.

But im not dumb enough to want open borders
The LP's stance on open borders is coupled with a thought that the government shouldn't be a nanny state handing out welfare to everyone. Therefore, if someone wanted to come to the states like people did way back when with nothing but the prospect of opportunity and a fair chance, it would work, in theory. However, I don't see the govt ever taking away handouts, so, the border must be controlled somehow.
To be fair though, the work ethic and culture of many of those crossing the border is far and away better than the generational entitlement class and blue haired freaks.

From the Desk of Lew Rockwell…
….With this week’s announcement of Biden’s plan to “forgive” student loans, his political opponents have expressed shock and dismay that a politician would use vast government powers to reward one favored group of people at the expense of others. We’re told this is an unprecedented rip-off that should outrage us.
Well, they have it partly right. It is a rip-off. And we should be outraged. But it’s also just business as usual in Washington.
It's nice to see that there is some actual opposition to the latest trillion-dollar con job from the regime, but if we attempt to just make this about Joe Biden or just about Democrats, we’re letting the state off the hook, big time.
Ripping off taxpayers to the tune of trillions of dollars is a bipartisan job in America. It’s also the job of both the welfare state and the warfare state. It’s what the regime is all about. Student loan forgiveness is just the latest grift, and it comes after the feds spent two years destroying small businesses and printing trillions of dollars as part of the regime’s hysterical panic over covid. The loan scam comes after the feds spent nearly $8 trillion dollars on their numerous lost wars over the past twenty years.
This isn’t about Joe Biden, as horrendous as he may be. It’s about the state, that institution that is so good at exploiting the vast majority of the population to benefit its friends. You won’t hear much about this in Washington, though. That’s how the welfare-warfare scam works.
One side criticizes the latest welfare programs but supports trillions more spent on wars. The other side does the reverse. Meanwhile, the regime always wins because no matter who wins the elections, the federal government just gets to spend more and more lavishly.
The end result is money printing, inflation, and vast new federal power grabs, over and over again. For regular people, it brings bankruptcy and poverty. ….as Murray Rothbard understood, the problem isn’t that the regime spends money on the wrong things. The problem is the regime itself.”

Constantly pushing and voting for young Americans to go halfway around the world and die for no reason is apparently the ultimate act of maturity.

Good eye! It is a photo-op. And look very closely at the left-side of the image :

We can’t offer a cradle-to-grave Welfare State nor wage perpetual warfare across every corner of the globe and maintain open borders. Yet the bipartisan reigning regime in Washington seeks to do both simultaneously.

Now that the Libertarian Party seems to be a standard political party rather than the embodied ideals of libertarianism, I refer to myself as a juris naturalist.
1) do not encroach on other people, or their property
2) do all that you have agreed to do

Most in this thread don't realize how much the LP has changed since 2020. Total revolution. Jo Jorgenson nor Gary Johnson/Bill Weld would have a chance at winning the nomination today.

Libertarianism is a "live and let live" philosophy.
Anybody who still espouses that hope or belief in light of the absolute tyranny unleashed by the Left is a complete fool.
Either impose your values on society, or someone else will impose theirs. Those are your two options.
Libertarianism is both a parking spot, and a fanciful worldview. Always has been.

Same, but the Mises Caucus folks did push it closer to where it needs to go.
The LP National party will never be taken seriously when they campaign on stupid shite like legalized prostitution.

You know who’s hard to take seriously? ‘Conservative’ Republicans who pulled the lever for George Bush, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Richard Shelby, etc, etc, etc.
As our country quickly implodes due to the incompetence of our leadership, how can anyone in their right mind still be voting for the same two parties that are causing the problem? It’s the very definition of insanity. Find a third party to vote for. There are plenty of them. I recommend the Libertarian or Constitution Party to any dedicated conservative.
