What's the issue here? Every American should go to Arlington or speak to a service widow. These foreign conflicts that Biden, Obama, Bush, Graham, and everyone in the US Gov't speak about so casually about costs American lives. Real people die.

The "conservatives" in this thread hating on libertarians chose George HW Bush over Pat Buchanan, John McCain over Ron Paul and Mitt Romney over Ron Paul. Why should anyone value your opinions when it comes to limited, constitutional government?

Link to any of that.

And I'm not hating on libertarians. I just think fake arse "Libertarians" who are more concerned with how edgy they are than actual libertarian policies are a fricking joke.

You fricks could have made a positive difference in quite a few elections. The Dims realized this about the Green morons and embraced them. Keep standing on the sidelines though waiting for whatever.

The Libertarian party should not be taken seriously. They have no power. Hopefully they will not run anyone against DeSantis v Biden/Harris in 2024.

The real joke of a party is the Republican party. The student loan forgiveness debacle illustrates this perfectly.

The Democrats are using their current power to buy votes and scratch the backs of their most powerful constituents (college-educated idiots) thus accruing more power.

The Republicans gain power and want to send money to shitholes in eastern Europe or the Middle East. Or at best, Republicans gain power and try to fix minor governmental issues (no major issues though, those are too radical!) at great cost to their power.

Politics is about rewarding your friends and punishing your enemies. Thus, the Democrats are the Harlem Globetrotters of politics and the Republicans are the Washington Generals.

Same for the cries about Zuckerberg's admission of election tampering by the FBI. Great, Republicans, now do something about it you are theoretically the opposition it is literally your job.

The Republican Party's largest ideological faction pre-2016 (neoconservatism) was literally a derivative of Trotskyist ideology. Nobody on this board who cast a vote for either Bush, McCain or Romney should ever be lecturing someone else about who is and who isn't conservative, considering "conservatism" for the better part of a quarter century meant endless Middle Eastern wars, mass surveillance and humongous deficits.

The Libertarian Party was once solidly into libertarian philosophy. This was when Harry Browne was in charge back in the 90s. After his death in 2006 the party went to hell.
It became a convenient opportunity for ego driven Republicans who realized they were never moving up in the GOP. This also happened with the Green Party. Their nominees were no longer environmental activists but rather frustrated Dems who were not moving up in the Dem party.

The problem with libertarian philosophy is that it requires too much thinking for a political message. Politics has always been oversimplified. When I grew up it was 'Democrats are for the working man. Republicans are for the rich man.' That's as deep as it got.

A good example of non thinking is this open border idea being libertarian. It is not. The core philosophy is protection of liberty. Borders have always been vital for protection of liberty. Good thing the British understood this during WWII or the Nazis would have been welcomed as tourists.

Biden's open border policy is designed to destroy freedom. A massive increase in Dem voters who will allow the transition to one party rule and communism will finally get rid of individual freedom in America and allow central planners to run things.

The people who now control the LP don't want open borders either. That will be ignored by the people in this thread who voted for candidates who were expressly opposed to ending the federal welfare state, which is the primary reason illegals come here.

This is correct.

Dave Smith is the defacto leader of the Libertarian party now and he is based AF. But the leader being based doesn't mean that the Libertarian party is worth anything.
