One of the McMichaels told police that he thought the jogger stole junior's gun out of his truck but wasn't sure and the guy in the second truck told the cops he thought the jogger shot somebody. These guys are toast. Not only did they not have any reason to detain the jogger, they didn't even offer any plausible reason to police when they were interviewed.

Honest question, do you know what intent means?
Also, English is just covering his arse. Arbery had a history of theft, he was caught on his property, and he, at the very least, thinks things were stolen off his property. But no, he doesn't think it was Arbery...
The dude lawyered up instantly once Arbery was shot. He wants to distance himself from this case. He put up cameras for a reason. He put up motion sensors for a reason. He showed neighbors tape of Arbery for a reason. He called his neighbors to keep an eye out on his property for a reason. And the day Arbery was shot, he specifically called a neighbor to call police because his security system caught Arbery on his property for a reason.
