Convenient truth? No doubt there was an extraordinary effort to recover her data.

I think the 'crickets' was because they are realizing that the 'emperor' does indeed have clothes. Red clothes.

Looks like we'll just have to rely on our trusted, universal data backup service, the NSA.

Why don't they subpoena the NSA records of Lerner's emails? They have them.

Since the evolving story is now at the point of hard drives belonging to 7 key people having been destro... recycled, maybe Issa could approach Echelon tactfully and request assistance.

NSA will claim it isn't a national security concern.

And neither is 99.9% of all the other data they collect.

But they *only access the data when it concerns a national security threat.

They'll say this isn't a national security threat so they have no duty to access the data.

If her hard drive was truly corrupted to the point where a reformat wouldn't fix it (ie: a physical issue) then scrapping the hard drive is standard protocol and something I mentioned over the weekend.

For one person, this is plausible. If they try to push it and say all 6 of the others coincidentally had this same issue at this same time then that goes well into the realm of probability known as "there ain't no frickin' way".

I would have been more suspicious had they kept her hard drive.

We all know what happened, they are hiding incriminating evidence on this president, who has a 24/7 politcal mind ( but has a 0/0 leadership mind ) and thought he could and would never be challenged because the media adored him.

Now once the republicans subpoena all White House emails this criminal president is going to claim executive privilege and Holder is going to do the two step again.

A special prosecutor has to be named immediately, if one had been named already maybe these enails would not have been hiden.

It is time for Obama to fully cooperate, or resign, the nation doesn't feel like he can lead our country anymore by a 54 to 44 margin.

The White House keeps multiple meticulous records on visitors. It should be child's play to find out who she visited with. From that point, subpoena the emails of that WH person.
