Because Egypt isn't participating in the air and sea blockade. All nations have a right to control their own land borders, lest you think Mexicans have a right to enter the U.S. at will, but they don't have a right to control other people territorial waters and air space. Israel has its border with Lebanon sealed off, but you can bet if they tried to impose and air and sea blockade on Lebanon, Hezbollah would fire rockets at them too.
EDIT: Gaza tried to establish a sea port in 2009, and it lead to Israel perpetrating the Gaza Flotilla Massacre which Egypt strongly condemned them for, along with the rest of the world.

Hamas supporters like trackfan and Vegas Bengal buy into the false narrative that this war is over land, when in reality the war is over extreme, rabid Jewish hatred on the part of Palestinians. These muslims hated Jews before Israel was created, and they'll hate them after the country ceases to exist.
The truth is no other Arab nation wants nor will take Palestinians refugees. The tunnels are their best exit route. But Hamas controls the tunnels and won't let the Paletinians flee. Kind of like the east Germans wouldn't let their citizens flee either.

Hmmm....so Israel could not have "occupied" the country of Palestine prior to 1988?
Let me help since your googling skills suck:
On 22 September 1948, towards the end of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the All-Palestine government was proclaimed in the Egyptian-occupied Gaza City by the Arab League.
After the dissolution of the All-Palestine Government in 1959, under the excuse of pan-Arabism, Egypt continued to occupy the Gaza Strip until 1967. Egypt never annexed the Gaza Strip, but instead treated it as a controlled territory and administered it through a military governor.
In June 1967, during the Six-Day War, Israel Defense Forces captured the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Declaration of Independence was approved by the Palestinian National Council (PNC) in Algiers on 15 November 1988, by a vote of 253 in favour, 46 against and 10 abstentions.
In May 1994, following the Palestinian-Israeli agreements known as the Oslo Accords, a phased transfer of governmental authority to the Palestinians took place.
In February 2005, the Knesset approved a unilateral disengagement plan to implement the Oslo Agreement and began removing Israeli settlers from the Gaza Strip in 2005. All Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip and the joint Israeli-Palestinian Erez Industrial Zone were dismantled, and 9,000 Israelis, most living in Gush Katif, were forcibly evicted.
As of 27 September 2013, 134 (69.4%) of the 193 member states of the United Nations have recognised the State of Palestine.

Show me one post in my 23,000 posts where I have ever said I supported Hamas?
One post will do.
Your inability to find one shows that you're a liar.

You realize that this date is as unimpressive to Hamas' opposition as the date of Israel's formation is to Hamas, right?

Egypt also isn't conducting air strikes and killing 1800 people so the "hate" won't be the same.

And the Muslims loved the Jews prior to the creation of the modern state of Israel.

There's so much ignorance in this post that I don't know where to begin, but the idea that Hamas keep Gazans from leaving is one of the most ignorant things I've ever seen posted here.

Chicken/egg
If Hamas lobbed 14,000 rockets into Egypt, Egypt would certainly be conducting air strikes.

It really takes willfull ignorance for someone not to see the difference between Egypt and Israel with regards to the Palestinians.

You do realize the question has context, right?
They're not writing a term paper. They're helping you realize the absurdity of your position.

I think we all see it. Israel is made up of Jews. Egypt isn't.
