Oh I wish I was Harvey Weinstein’s wiener
That is what I truly want to be
Cause if I was Harvey Weinstein’s wiener
Everyone would be in love with me

Paltrow's a bitch, but this rumor has been out for many years that he did these things to her and didn't say anything. I actually do believe her here.

No one is saying those things didn't happen. Hell, I'm sure they did. The issue is Paltrow acting like she was just an "innocent victim." Believe me, I think the practice is terrible. But I wholehearted believe that many if not most of these actresses gladly did these things with Weinstien because they new he could/would make them stars. It's the faux victim narrative that's being put out there now that the report is out. They certainly didn't seem to have a problem with everything in the 30+ years this was purportedly going on.

If anything, Paltrow being a "victim" is just more evidence of how widely accepted this practice was/is in Hollywood. She had some pretty powerful parents in the industry at the time all of this was allegedly going on. Yet, she still to some degree participated. This isn't some naive girl from small town West Virginia who is taken advantage of because she just wants to be a star

It's just like Hillary was willing to put up with a man whore of a husband to gain power.

This is what I keep asking.

If Weinstein was a rapist or a pedophile, then lock him under the jail.

If he's a producer who told a fully consenting adult that sucking his dick would lead to a life of ease and fame, then where is the crime?

Again, what did this guy actually do, not what these people are just reporting all of a sudden? I asked earlier and got 10 downvotes for asking a question?

I just saw where some director is "ashamed" he took his money but he won some award off the money he was given. Why the lynch mob now?

Casting couches have been around, but progressives moved the line of judgement to attack conservatives and now their own will be judged by new rules.

Love it.

Wow mixed emotions!

I love it when liberals are forced to eat the slop they cook up!

But!!!

These are allegations without proof, yet he is fired and universally condemned! Shouldn't he be innocent until proven guilty? Isn't that the American way?

No allegations of force or coercion. Even the women who rejected him say nothing happened in retaliation. They also said the job was theirs before the "harassing" overtures.

Amazing how liberals can embrace a presidential candidate who aided and abetted an accused harasser and rapist, who suppress accusations against a big leftist donor for years and must be shamed to come forward days and days after allegations are finally reported, but jump all in on unsubstantiated and several debunked allegations against the Donald.

I'm just going to sit back and chuckle for a few more days while the left is forced to eat its own.

So by not reporting the incident, they are part of the cover-up!!

Every Hollywood star who failed to report is guilty of a violent rape of a woman.

Silence = Violence.

Use the Left's own language against them. Make the Left follow their own rules.

The mental gymnastics on twitter right now is hysterical

"But HW wasn't running for president while trump was!"

"Trump has a tape and bragged!"

"Stop going after Hillary and show solidarity with the victims!"

God it's amazing

Everyone always does this, depending on what argument they want to make. (there's another thread on here today arguing that Travon Martin at 17 was a "troubled man"). 22 IS a kid. The brain isn't even fully-formed until 25 or so. I'm not saying she had no agency at all, but let's err on the side of the naive lamb to the slaughter of the Hollywood jackals.

Then we damn sure shouldn't let those kids vote, drink, enter contracts, consent to sex, etc until their brains are fully formed. You can't have it both ways - our society has decided that 17-18 is the age of accountability for most adult rights and responsibilities. If you take away the responsibilities, you've got to take away the rights too.

I'm not bashing Gwyneth either but she was not a "lamb to the slaughter" - she was young yes, but she grew up in a wealthy showbiz family (mother an actress, father a producer/director), had already acted in several movies, including a Spielberg pic and starred with Brad Pitt, who she was dating at the time of the Weinstein incident. She was not a starving artist trying to make rent.

Those poor 265 month old children.

I'll say it again: if the guy forcably raped anyone or molested a child then cut his nuts off and bury him under the jail.

If he's just a creep who got willing adults to blow him in exchange for millions and a shot a fame, that's not a crime.

Why didn’t they something then? I’ll accept that they may have felt pressured to comply for the sake of their careers... but once you’re a fricking worldwide mega star???

Many were happy to take the hush money so other women could be put in the same position. Hollywood truly is a satanic place.
