Massie is a Republican.

And he is brilliant. He tied the " Death panel " thought process these liberals have, with the facts that these Dem liberals think that poor people are a blight on society ( behind closed doors )

Massie just impressed the shite out of me. He used Gruber's education and previous writings to dress him, in eugenics clothing as well as subtly associating the ACA with that as well.

Mea culpa. I should have known a Dem would have never given a shite about asking some honest questions that went against the party line.

Gowdy was a disappointment. He just chastised him for his statements and didn't root anything out or even try.

Agreed.

But, did he use all of his time?

They tricked Gruber, when Gowdy was finished he thought he was out of danger, then the Kentucky MIT grad and the Pops kicked up in his azz.

I think if Gowdy had gone early, he would have been much more Gowdy-er. By the time they got to him all the outrage and almost all the big points were made.

"You can answer the questions now, or come back here at a later date and have to do this all over again."

I'd be singing like a bird.

Issa is floating the idea there may be a Gruber Part II. It's usually not productive to flog a dead horse, but sometimes it's just too fun to pass up.

The second quote of Gruber by Desantos actually seems to back up what Gruber said. The second quote was about how the federal government may have been holding off on the national exchange to "squeeze" the states into developing their own.

I thought Tavenner was about to cry under Collins' questioning.

In past hearings I've seen, the democrats would insert compliments and thank you's in between the republican beatdown questions.

Where are the dems today?

"I ain't touching this one" attitude?

Lummis - "How many non politicians would know what CBO is? How many non politicians would know what scoring is?"

I would suspect that more "non politicians" know what those things are than politicians.
