Generation Z may save us all...

How the next generation will change politics
Interesting article here. I was born in 1995 and I always considered myself a late millenial, but I guess I could also be classified as being apart of generation Z as well. And if what's written in this article is true, then I definitely am apart of Generation Z because this describes my political beliefs pretty accurately.
Here's another article on Gen Z which states that Trump dominated with them in a poll.
quote:
Generation Z — those born between 1995 and 2010 — is rapidly becoming the next large voting demographic, replacing Millennials. This will be the first time members of Generation Z will vote in a presidential election, and they’ll have an impact on our government for years to come.
quote:
Gen Z has little faith in Washington. “They don’t have a lot of confidence in our current government,” Grace told Opportunity Lives. “They see so much gridlock and lack of progress to address issues that are impacting our society.”
quote:
According to the pair’s findings, along with this entrepreneurial bent comes a sense of financial responsibility. Some 84 percent of Gen Z’ers identify as fiscally moderate or conservative. “This group has entered young adulthood as fiscally conservative, which I don’t think you can say about Millennials,” Grace said. “Budget cuts and the recession have been so [present] in their lives.”
quote:
According to Grace and Seemiller’s research, 40 percent of Gen Z’ers classify themselves as socially liberal — with over 80 percent supporting marriage equality. “Many are projecting that they’ll be very libertarian in their views,” Grace said.

Are we really asking 6-year-olds if they are fiscally conservative?

There are kids from generation Z in college

Greatest Generation
Baby Boomers
Generation X
Millennials
Generation Z
Seem to be a pattern. Ever good generation is followed by a shitbird generation. Even though these fricking millennials take the grand prize for shitbirds.

You laugh but my kids class was MAGA. He is in 2nd grade. My wife and I never talk politics or listen to news at night. Just from the rest of the kids in his class. Pretty crazy considering half the class is hispanic.

I was born in 1997 and I'm a current college student. I definitely see this trend. While a lot of my peers are regressive wackjob bigots, there is also a solid, growing contingent of conservative/libertarian college students.
This was my first presidential election, and I proudly voted for DJT. I will continue to vote for conservative/libertarian candidates in the future.

The article states they were asking high school kids from the ages of 14-18. As in... people who will be eligible to vote in 2020.

I have a 15yr old son and a 21yr old nephew, they are both MAGA like a motherfricker, and so are all their friends.
I have a 13yr old daughter, she doesn't give a shite, doesn't know nor care who the president is

They can't wipe their asses without an app and they're also socially retarded due to smart phones.
I have no faith in Gen Z.

Yeah, you're not quite there with us. I'd say you're born a good 5 years late to be classified as a millennial. I doubt 9/11 is a very vivid memory to you like it is for older millenials.
But honestly, I'm glad to hear this. I hope they're better than these twats currently graduating from college and they save us all. I have hope for people 15-20 years younger than me. I really hope they're the opposite of SJWs and they turn into a great generation. Trump can help achieve that, and I look forward to what Generation Z can achieve.

But where do you live? Do you live in Chicago or LA? Sorry, but kids in 2nd grade are only going to be what their parents are for. Maybe once they're in high school it may be applicable, but not in elementary.

Doubtful. They've been wholly raised in the "offended" era. Where you can't speak about anything uncomfortable or unpleasant. You get to be coddled from differing opinions and whine about everything that doesn't go your way.

There are plenty of people in the older generations that act like this too.
None of my friends/associates are remotely liberal but than again I live in AL.

Ok so it was an exaggeration, she doesn't give a frick about politics at all. Hopefully that drys your tears

Don't you have some clouds to yell at or kids to chase off your lawn?

Didn't the Silent Generation come after the Greatest Generation?

I'm a Generation Z that grew up loving Obama as an eighth grader. I was a poster child liberal. Although I am still slightly liberal, South Park creator Trey Parker's words are ringing loud right now for me seeing the snowflakes protesting: "I hate conservatives, but I really fricking hate liberals"
