I'm sorry, they can call it what they want, but I don't want to take a dump next to Debbie from accounting and vice versa. Call me old fashioned.

Like I said, I've done it before, and in conditions that are a good deal worse than an office. It's not that big of a deal. Two showers and two toilets for 30 people in maybe a 8x12 space. There were never any problems.

In law school we had a guy, who was married to a lesbian, begin showing up in women's clothing during our senior year. (He also ran for city counsel as a man and lost during our junior year.) Apparently they lived as a lesbian couple at home and he tied his wang dang doodle back like drag queens do.
Anyway, one day I was reading the postings on the bulletin board and overheard what I thought were two women just behind me. They were just about to head off to the Union to use the women's rest room there. I turned to them and was about to ask them if the bathrooms were closed in the building but then I realized it was Mike and his wife talking. The Chancellor solved the problem by giving Mike the key to his private bathroom for the rest of the year.
I googled him years later and saw he had gone through with sex change surgery, had divorced his lesbian wife, had married another lesbian, and is now serving as judge in California where he was elected.

How long do you think it will take some female member of the Harvard community to react badly to unflattering stories circulating about events that occurred in one of the all gender restrooms? I can just imagine the sad tale of some poor female, suffering from gastric distress, using one of these restrooms who emits loud noises and noxious smells while relieving herself. What will prevent said female from being the object of derision, and what will be the remedy? Separate gender restrooms.

My daughter's dorm restrooms were this way & it wasn't an issue.

There is nothing in this world more disgusting than a women's public restroom. If some of you guys knew how nasty some women were in a public restroom, it would change your outlook on life.
Eta: I've seen women piss on the seat and the floor. I don't even know how a woman manages to piss on the floor. You have to work hard to accomplish that.

Jeez dude, can you miss the point any worse? I have to believe you WANT to miss it so you can be offended by everyone's "intolerance".
The problem isn't that there is a gender neutral bathroom - they have them everywhere. The ridicule on this board comes from the asinine sign trying to acknowledge every possible permutation of gender and gender identity. Just put a damn sign saying it's a unisex bathroom and be done with it.

Why are the handicapped being tossed in with the gendered dysfunctionals? Seems like an ADA violation.
