Folgers Coffee to lose ITEP property tax exemption

... because not only did they file their renewal application late, they then couldn't be bothered to show up at a hearing to discuss it.

I guess they don't need this money, after all.
This state board is very easy to work with. If the rep couldn't make the meeting, they would have just pushed it to the next one. For them to file the app late, and then no call / no show on the meeting held to discuss the late filing... truly amazing.

Do they still do that thing where they swap the coffee served at fancy restaurants with Folgers coffee?

They should pay the taxes and move on.
NOTE this is NOT money the state or the city gave Folgers. This is a delay of adding the investment Folgers made in some plant or equipment to the tax rolls.
The property should be added to the tax rolls now and the taxes collected.

I like their morning roast k cups. Other than that i couldn't care less. Tried black rifles k cups and they were like water in comparison.

I’m not picky about my morning brew at all but Folgers is the only brand I won’t buy from the store. Don’t like the taste.
