Maybe didndus should just not put themselves in a situation where someone feels threatened by them.
My dad always told me to be aware of my surroundings and to expect bad things to happen when in bad places doing bad stuff.

Hell ... half the reason to have a castle doctrine is because bad guys aren't sure if the crazy old white man is packing and itching to shoot some asshat or not.
I honestly cannot wait for the day when video catches some thug sneaking up behind someone to play the knockout game and some old white man wheels around, James Bond style, and busts a cap in said thug's guy ... hell, five or six caps, right when said thug is winding up.

I just want to say, if you fire your gun 10 times then it isn't for self defense. If you legitimately think someone is going to kill you, you have every right to defend yourself. And that includes shooting them. But 10 times? No, you just wanted to kill some people.

He should have been prosecuted no doubt. But prosecuted under a manslaughter charge. The protest and MSM coverage seemed to push the State to a murder charge.

This law will effectively require a trial before a trial for anyone who invokes self defense, most of whom will be the very kind of people the OP lashes out against.
The end result of this will be the further clogging of the Florida judicial system, as you will essentially have two trials, which means prosecutors will have less time to deal with other cases involving violent crimes where self defense isn't at issue.

Yep. Some "dindu" mugs a couple of drunk tourists who stumble through the wrong hood. Kills them, they can't talk...then says "they came at me, bro".
2 against 1, they have a high BAC, drunks can be aggressive...you have a mess on your hands.
Unless you have it so an affirmative defense shifts the burden of proof in favor of the prosecution.
