I accept personal responsibility, work everyday, and contribute quite a bit to society and I'm sad senator Landrieu lost. I do find it funny that you called us hypocrites when one of Cassidy's biggest supporters is one of the biggest hypocrites in this state, and soon idiots in this state will make him our governor. I guess its ok to be a lying hypocrite who employs the services of a Madame if you have an "R" behind your name.

Yes, Louisiana's public education system is so highly renowned. What happens now with Mary Landrieu gone?

Nice try....I've had the exact same trouble when voting with a military ID. I think you are jumping to conclusions.

Nice try? It's nice to try to disenfranchise military families? You're a stand up American.

Look at the history of this state and it has been run almost exclusively by Democrats. What has it gotten us? We're last in almost every quality of life category. The areas which have thrived (e.g.: St. Tammany Parish) have done so under conservative leadership.

Most of those crying today are those who want government handouts, more entitlements, special treatment, and are great at ALWAYS blaming Republicans instead of admitting their own shortcomings.

It's a FABULOUS day and the next decade is looking GREAT for Louisiana. If the grass is greener elsewhere, don't let the doorknob hit you in the arse.

Really? So you are arguing that the little old ladies at your precint were trying to disenfranchise you because you had a military ID that did not have your address on it.

BTW - I am just curious...is your military ID your only form of identification?

As a black woman, neither I nor my friends melted about Senator Landrieu losing; we melted about our friends being too stupid to exercise their right to vote. Generally, educated people are friends with educated people, so one would assume that educated blacks would understand the history of this nation and would vote. However, a large portion of blacks stayed home and it's disgusting. I also melted because at my white precinct in BR, they attempted to disenfranchise me because they assumed (correctly) that I supported the senator. When I tried to vote using my military ID I was told I couldnt because military ids don't have an address on them. It wasn't until hell was raised that they relented when their supervisor told the workers to allow me to vote. I did melt over that.

Im a white male and during the November election they refused my military ID and required a DL to prove my address but yesterday I had no problem with my military ID. I have to assume that it was because they showed record where I voted 30days ago with my DL and they didn't need to check it again. Maybe I should start believing that my black precinct in Shreveport is attempting to disenfranchise me because they assumed (correctly) that I supported Cassidy (lesser of two evils). Why do you have to always think that "the man is trying to hold me down". Gimme a break...

Feel free to leave. I hear Detroit is lovely this time of the year and it has been run by liberals for 50 years.

Honestly, I know she was your candidate but she was absolutely worthless. Her interests were no more for Louisiana or the black community than the man in the moon. Her interests were in her own re-election which she accomplished by voting for things that would get her funding by unions primarily. Unions make up about 4% of Louisiana employment, but 100% of her voting record.

Plain and simple, absolutely NO politician gives a crap about blacks or any minority beyond securing their "voting block".

Ultimately you're right. But at the end of the day Vitter's votes are good. He may be an undercover freak, but as long as he's not trashing the country I can live with that. I wonder if you feel the same way about Bill Clinton getting BJ's and playing hide the cigar in the Oval Office with a 20s something intern while his wife was in the next room.

Doesn't surprise me. Nunn ran some POS attack ads against Purdue, but I never saw a flier like that. I would've laughed in the face of whoever tried to hand it to me.

In 2012, I heard kids working at Starbucks talking about how Paul Ryan wanted to take away Seniors' benefits. I was just walking by, but I had to stop, go back and ask them where they heard that. People are dumb.

Well, one could reasonably assume that it wasn't Senator -elect Cassidy's campaign or supporters that sent them out.

Are you sure they were disenfranchising you or could you be overacting?
Maybe they didn't fully understand the ID requirements.
Things that happen are not always nefarious.
