Mr. Trump’s outburst drew indignation from many people who pointed out the unseemliness of attacking a civil rights leader on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

No doubt that the lefts faux outrage citing MLK day--- was the entire goal.

Pathetic State run media news propaganda. Most especially that they reported Trump ATTACKED him.

I think we need to start calling it propaganda instead of fake news. That's truly what its intended to be. It is basically what Nazi Germany did with Goebbels direction in WW2. Luckily we haven't handed the country over to the propagandist.

Prove it.

It's not my opinion to prove, it's John Lewis's. I do not agree with John Lewis's statement at all. Trump is legitimate in my eyes until proven otherwise. I'm merely pointing out Lewis did not attack Trump by giving the opinion his election was illegitimate. It was no fault of Trump's Lewis feels this way. His attack was directed at Russia and the vulnerability of our election process. Not Donald Trump.

But Lewis didn't attack Trump with his statement.

It was his inner racist that attacked Trump. Lewis is blind to his Black Privilege.

Dems always blame others for their massive failures.

Russians didn't cause y'all to have the smallest amount of power in a century.

But do you believe in the claim that without the DNC leaked emails, Clinton would have won?

Tell me, has he ever called a president elect illegitimate in the past? If no, why now? Why shouldn't Trump see this as an attack on him? Why else would he call it illegitimate? By saying that he essentially says that Trump had no way of winning on his own.

I'm old enough to remember when liberals claimed questioning the legitimacy of an election was out of bounds.
it was only like 2 months ago, when anything less than express and complete acceptance of election results was repratedly decried as a threat to our democracy. Or has everyone forget the debates already.

No, can't say either way really. There's no way to quantify the impact the DNC leaked emails had on the election.

Because in less than a week he will be the most powerful man on the planet. Who cares what some congressmen from Atlanta thinks?

Okay, so what should be do? Have a new election? Stop everything now, push back all agendas to appropriate funding, healthcare reform, inner-city programs, etc., and get everyone in gear to set up for a new "fair" election?

Maybe because he values the support of everyone in government? He wants to to see unity not division? Is that not something worth wanting?

I think you're right. I think that was the end game here.
