Don't know anything about Dorsey, but I can tell you that for the short time I worked in the Legislature, Thompson and Alario were absolutely up front about making money for themselves and friends. It was amazing just to hear them talking in the hallways.

I wouldn't count Edwards out. I can't believe he'd actually win . . . but . . .

Dorsey is on the scene this year with legislation allowing Legislators to receive more monies from PACs, so that she won't have to return the tens of thousands she's currently holding illegally.

Well, at least the scenery should be better at Vitter's HQ, then. Likely a bit more livelier too.

The fact that his new candidacy is not absolutely hopeless and the reminder to the nation that this smartass criminal was elected countless times in his career already makes us a laughingstock.

It could ultimately prove to be hopeless. I hope it does so we don't look like a bunch of assholes who only vote based on a familiar nane

I would not be surprised that at least half the people that have ever actually cast a ballot for EWE are dead.

I suspect at least a third of the voters today were not old enough to have cash a ballot for EWE.

All the republicans need to do is buy up all the episodes of "The Governor's Wife" and run them non stop for a week before the election and the most ardent EWE supporter will vote republican.

Could go the other way. May be some folks show up to vote against him and while they are there, they go ahead and pull the lever for the other R guy.

yes, the scary thing is my dad will prolly still vote for the crook. "Did more for the people". Seriously!

And, yes, he provided a few well timed zingers in his day.

Paul Dietzel is the only other viable candidate.

I'm putting a huge sign in my yard for Dietzel ASAP.

Edwards is a dirty, disgusting, poor excuse for a human being.

It's simply offensive that he is choosing to run for office after hurting so many businesses and people in this state.

I mean, can he even vote for himself? I'm not sure if his felony charges are considered exempt. I'm not a lawyer.

The sad thing is I know he will win and there's nothing I can do about it.
