Nope. Wrong. He made a comment about people who live in rural areas (insinuating they are unintelligent). I countered with a comment about urban areas (invalidating his argument - typical of an elitist). That was all there was to it.

You and I both know I have lived in a myriad of places as an Army officer. So I think it is fair to say I have a fairly broad understanding of the world.

And I am former enlisted. So I have that going for me.

Nothing in that study indicates decreased health effects or increased incarceration rates for kids with homosexual parents.

Then you didn't read the study in its entirety. Read the whole thing and look at the tables (I can't figure out a way to post an image of them in here). Specifically look at the percentages of arrest likelihoods and mental illness diagnosis.

I've lived and worked in both big cities and rural areas. I don't think either have a lock on intelligence. There are plenty of smart and dumb people in both areas. There is a more simplistic view on life in general in rural areas, which is understandable. It's a slower pace of life, and in general the population is more homogeneous. And I think they just relate more to Duck Dynasty than Modern Family, though Modern Family seems set more in a suburban setting than a big city. I've only watched it a handful of times though.

How is intelligence involved in entertainment preferences?

Rural areas love their scripted reality tv shows, which makes sense.

Ain't even skeered. I am standing at 102 meters. Gave myself a one meter buffer zone just in case. I am good.

I think I'm most amazed to find out that Tom & Jerry is still on and that people watch it.

I would rather watch a cartoon than any kind staged reality show.
