I mean I guess I relate to DD more than modern family but I prefer to watch modern family over DD.
But I'm one of those crazy cats who can distinguish between entertainment and political views.
I like Ed O'niel. he's pretty much a slightly more educated al bundy in modern family.

Every couple in that show involves a two parent household who (despite the zany plots) ultimately love each other and their children.
How is that moral decay?

Wow, I had no idea Modern Family is an "urban show".
And the moral decay comment is laughable. It's probably one of the more wholesome shows on these days

I thought P&R and Modern Family are two of the most positive and American shows on TV. Both certainly have/had a left bias compared to this board, but they ultimately supported marriage, family, two parent households, and the greatness of this country.

The reason the comparison between duck dynasty and modern family is used is because the shows are identical. Sane runtime, same sitcom format, same "confession booth" cut-ins to show characters true thoughts, etc. they're both well-written, funny, family sitcoms just using polar opposite political backdrops (divorce and gay marriage verses christianity and outdoors)

Even one of the gay guys loves farming and football.

I agree with your post but all of them are married. There's not much a divorce backdrop other than the grandpa being on his second marriage.

As soon as I watched the first episode of DD I stopped shaving.
Look here, Uncle Si is my roll model.

I wonder why the far left whackjobs haven't attempted to boycott Duck Commander Duck Calls?
Posted on 2/19/17 at 4:18 pm to MMauler
Probably the same reason that the Right's attempt to boycott Hamilton worked out so well.

Of fricking course it was

People on the right don't have to boycott an overpriced, uber-gay, and likely bastardized version of American history . . . there's just a natural aversion to worthless garbage.

Both shows suck. Don't watch either....anyone who sees Phil Robertson on TV and says, "That man knows what he's saying. He wants a better America" is as naive as a cast member from Modern Family actually giving a shite about politics.

I've never watched either
I've only heard of Empire b/c they advertised on IMDb
I can understand not watching TV, but unless you're literally not getting on the internet, not listening to the radio and are talking to zero people during your day, there's no reason to not have heard of these shows.
There are plenty of shows on tv I've never watched, but you hear about them one way or another.

How is that moral decay?
If you have to be told that it's moral decay you have mental issues. It's only a show but in the real world two men raising a child isn't right no matter how many times you liberals say it is. Same for two women raising a child. That propaganda is NOT the real world. Less than 1% does not make it right.

I watched five minutes of that scripted garbage Duck Dynasty show once. Never again.
Yep - me too
Heard the name and thought it was about duck hunting. Tuned in and found it to be so intellectually vacant I turned it off after the first commercial and have never seen another second of it.
The only network shows I have watched with any regularity in the past 15 years have been '24' and "how I met your mother' and "last man standing.' I tried to watch 'designated survivor' but after 5 minutes of the second episode I tossed in the towel.
Back to History channels, Science channels, and military channels for me.

Agreed - There is no power on earth that can made me change my mind on that. That is effectively destroying the life of a child all for the sake of some warped ideology.

Thanks for admitting you don't actually have any logic or reason to back this up.

I'm not a liberal. I just realize how fricked up many households in this country are today. A child raised by gay parents has two loving parents, which is a lot better than many kids will get.

Is it better to have a kid raised by a stable gay couple or have a kid raised by a single mother with a string of live in boyfriends with potential drug or alcohol problems and a significant potential of abuse?
Look I get it. You still think gays are icky because pastor told you they are going to hell. However it is time for all conservatives to put aside that bullshite and look at this on a practical level.
