Mueller being a creature of the swamp is put in to a very tough position. His natural tendency is to protect the swamp.

By now Mueller know's all "Muh Russians" conspiracy charges are fabricated by the Obama administration and were carried out by his friend James Comey. Mueller is friends of and part of that swamp.

All investigation points will lead to the Obama administration politically weaponizing the FBI via Comey (specifically gaining FISA warrants under false pretenses (piss dossier) and subsequently tapping Trump's wires).

The biggest favor that Trump could do for the swamp is fire Mueller.

I believe Trump knows this and he has them trapped.

He should let it play out as is.

The narrative is already being formed that if they find something then it's because they are all democratic donors

Plus all of America knows there is no obstruction or collusion with Trump

Yep. I've seen 3 different Republicans push this just this morning.

Obviously this is the new talking point they are pushing.

This might help them with the President's base, but won't help them with the Grand Jury.

Meanwhile, the President's lawyer is in the news today for boasting that he got Preet Bharara fired.

quote:

Marc Kasowitz, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in the Russia investigation, has boasted to friends and colleagues that he played a central role in the firing of Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, according to four people familiar with the conversations. Kasowitz told Trump, “This guy is going to get you,” according to a person familiar with Kasowitz’s account.

"This guy is going to get you."

This is starting to look like a pattern of firing people investigating Trump.

From The Hill:

Four members of Mueller's team have donated to Democrats

Good.

Nothing lends more credibility to the party under investigation when they are exonerated by political foes.

I emailed the RNC as to not continue support until the party begins to support the president. I am sure it bothered them.

They certainly do.

But they rarely call U.S. Attorneys. When they do, U.S. Attorneys rarely suggest the President was trying to cultivate a personal relationship with them.

LINK

quote:

“When I’ve been reading the stories of how the president has been contacting Jim Comey over time, felt a little bit like déjà vu,” Mr. Bharara said Sunday on “This Week” on ABC.

Mr. Bharara said he had a similar feeling about his conversations with Mr. Trump. “I was in discussions with my own folks, and in reporting the phone call to the chief of staff to the attorney general, I said it appeared to be that he was trying to cultivate some kind of relationship,” he told ABC News, calling the exchanges “a very weird and peculiar thing.”

A pattern.

Bharara reported this up the DoJ chain of command. Sessions will probably be asked about this today.

Ah.

So the special prosecutor's team's past political contributions are admissible evidence in a Federal proceeding?

Thanks for that nugget.

As stated in other threads, Mueller just recruited these badass prosecutors:

- Michael Dreeben, "top criminal law practitioner in the United States" who has argued roughly 100 cases before the SCOTUS

- Andrew Weissmann, former director of the Enron Task Force and prosecutor of more than 25 cases involving the Genovese, Colombo and Gambino crime families

- James Quarles, former Watergate prosecutor

- Aaron Zebley, former chief of staff at the FBI

- Jeannie Rhee, former top official at the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel

Presumably Mueller hired these people because of the sealed evidence he's seen. Prepare yourself for a lot of indictments.

When did I say that?

I'm laughing at the fact you think a grand jury will indict Trump.

I didn't say he would.

They could indict Flynn, Manafort, and others.

They can certainly review evidence of the President's conduct in this matter, including on obstruction of Justice. The SC may expand the investigation to any wrongdoing connected to the Russia investigation.

If wrongdoing by Sessions or Trump seems criminal, those would be "high crimes and misdemeanors" and Mueller would probably forward it to Congress.

It's a weak premise that is only going to work on the people who would follow Trump right off a cliff if he asked them too.
