I never said it was his job to indict, but that he can indict in the court of public opinion (instead of the court of fox and friends). He let Democrats walk all over the Benghazi hearing and make a spectacle of it, resulting in it becoming distrusted to the general unaffiliated electorate. If he was a badass he would have put Democrats like a Elijah Cummings in their place when they tried to pull their butt hurt tantrums during hearing. Just about any conservative in Congress could have achieved what he achieved with the Select committee (which is not much other than some tongue lashings that made for good headlines in the conservative circles). He's not a badass, and he is not a conservative. I know it's unpopular to say it here, but we just went through an election cycle where we had the pleasure of calling a spade a spade no matter which side of the aisle they are on. Gowdy endorsed the most establishment candidates down the line till he had no choice but to endorse Trump.
