Do You Think SS Will Become Insolvent? If So, When?

I don't think it will simply because it is the ultimate sacred cow.

Now, I think the benefits and payouts will be slowly but significantly whittled away, taxes will be increased, more will be taken out of your paycheck, full retirement age will be raised, minimum retirement age will be incentivized, and other spending will be cut and shifted to SS, all in the effort to keep it afloat.

If you're under 60 just forget about collecting anything meaningful and start saving like never before...old farts like me are going to spend it all before you retire for sure...

Ya, they'll keep raising the age, lowering benefits, then means test high income earners from receiving it to keep it alive.
