Do you believe in global warming?

Upvote for yes and down vote for no.
This is not a why vote, just a yes or no. Personally, I believe it is obvious, the debate should focus on how to reduce it and accept we play a role in it...but, to suggest we are the only culprits is asinine - even more so the one who believe Americans play a role in the capacity of India or China.

I thought it was "climate change" now? If that's the case, then yes, I do believe the Earth that is billions of years old goes through slow and periodic temperature shifts.

I don't know.
But, I do think global warming is beneficial to us if it is occurring and I think AGW is a crock of shite.

Yes, but humans play little to no role in it.

It depends on how you frame it.

Strikingly similar to Christian concept of original
sin.

We do play a role in the capacity of India or China.
Our per capita CO2 emissions are the highest of any major industrialized nation. (the middle east has higher emissions)
For total emissions, we're only behind China. We have triple the emissions of India.
With all of the available evidence, if you don't think that there is a problem with global warming and that the problem is anthropogenic, you're too stupid for the human race to survive.
No exceptions. You are quite literally so fricking dumb that you threaten the survival of humanity as a species.

I believe in pollution and not properly taking care of the earth will have a negative effect on it and thus will effect us. what those effects are I dont know.

This. The tragedy of the commons on a global scale will only get worse with overpopulation.

"Global Warming" or "Climate Change" is simply an alarmist ruse to usher in a world government and destroy capitalism.

The earth clearly goes through varying periods of slight warmth and cold. Our activity has very little to do with it. More caused by variations in distance from the sun as we orbit. We've clearly had ice ages. We also have warmer periods. Etc.
Trying to control it through the government is just a means to another end: global government.

I don't know.
But, what we do KNOW AS FACT is that those "in charge" of the data and make their money off of the redistribution of wealth SCAM purposefully f*cked with and manipulated the data because the real numbers weren't supporting their absurd fear mongering prognostications.
That alone should give anyone with an IQ above single digits pause for thought.
Further, all the ridiculous doom and gloom predictions made in the late '90's and early 2000's have proven to be fraudulent.

I guess I am dumb then.
But lets play your game.
Let's say that all these scientists are right, and AGW is real.
How come every single fricking solution involves more government, more taxes, and less liberty? Every single one. And then you have the UN who say the only way to truly fight it is to have a world ruling body that governs climate change world wide(aka a new world order).
To me the debate about whether its real or not is meaningless. It's the proposed solutions that scare me.

You're projecting. Your observations are non sequiturs.
Are there any other molecules other than CO2 that strike fear in your life? You alt-left weather extremists are an odd bunch imo.

Probably because of how capitalism works. This is basic econ stuff. Pollution is a negative externality. That means that it is a negative consequence of economic activity that is not factored into the price. In this case, government regulation that factors this into the price is actually how the free market works to correct the issue.
Government regulations are an extension of the free market. That's how we get around the inherent problem of human beings not acting rationally.
Pollution Controls are actually an extremely libertarian idea. Why?
Because your right to do whatever the frick you want STOPS when it affects other people. It's about protecting the most freedom. It's about realizing that "freedom" doesn't mean what you want to do, it's what EVERYONE can do.

I believe its been warming for a long time, and glad we don't have to drive around all the Glaciers that covered the surface of the USA...Nothing to do with man, though....
