This conversation has come up with so many people I know. They would vote republican or democrat if there was simply a better candidate running. I get the Trump love but he screws our country up also. Disappointed we cannot as a country find someone better than Trump or Biden. If it was out there they would have my vote.
Will it be like this in four years again?

The Democrats rigged their primary so everyone would drop out except Biden. Republican voters have had so many poor options that we couldn't wait to finally have an outsider.

Either way you look at it, it's the political elites at the top screwing up our elections. So, I'll go with the outsider that they hate so much.

Who picks the candidates?

The answer to that is why both Trump came to politics the way he did and why the entire pool is nothing more than a corporate purchased theater piece for those who still bother to vote. And the more “ballot harvesting” takes hold, the less they’ll have to keep the masks on.

Do you not see what happened to outsiders that try to get in to “drain the swamp???” Not many smart people that do well in the private sector want to be a part of the cesspool.

It is pretty incredible that Trump is still fighting them so hard. They have done almost everything to get him out, besides delete him.

The system is rotten to its core. Smart and qualified leaders have no interest in politics because the corruption is not controllable. There isn't a candidate that is selfless and serving that will sign up in good faith to serve in that environment. That leaves you with greedy power hungry people who have no interest over the people they're "governing". Trump is the closest to selfless and serving that we've had in a long time. He's not perfect but IMO a step in the right direction.

I truly feel like I’m being punked or possibly living in a simulation. No way we’ve boiled down 300 million people in the greatest country in the history of the world to these two geriatric clowns.

I'm disappointed that the Trump vs DeSantis people went at each other's throats such that some of them won't vote for the other. They will sit home instead of voting against Biden.

On the Political Establishment side, there hasn't been a choice in recent times. There has been a selection, and the order is given in waves to start backing that selection in order to make it seem more organic and natural and not planned. But make no mistake, the selection is made long before the primaries ever decide the "winner".

On the "outsider" side, the only way "in" is to establish ties and connections to those within the Political Establishment side, and hope that they can sway enough of their circle and constituents into help you.

It does not matter if I tell you to stay home on election day. Your buddies will vote for Joey for you.

I’m curious as to why no one sees Kennedy as a viable candidate?

You would think that someone who was extremely tough and against the grain on Covid and has gone after Fauci as much as Kennedy has, as well as having his entire family murdered by the Government would have a pretty strong self-reliant and anti-establishment root planted?

Why are people so settled on voting for an established party? Why can’t an independent win?

I absolutely believe this. The system is rigged to make us feel like we have choices. It’s bigger than these 2 candidates.
