Serious question.

No way Flynn did that on his own. He had orders from above him to do it. Without question.

Was it illegal? Were crimes committed?

I'm asking. I think that is the only way that Flynn resigns. They knew he did this. Or they are incompetent.

But, was it illegal?

This is pretty major speculation.

I don't know. I guess I thought it was a separate subject. Seriously, I'm asking. I have no idea if it was against the law or not. Wondering if anyone knows?

No, but he did lie when asked directly. That's a huge issue for Trump and Pence.

No, but he apparently lied about it.

Speculation. I suspect this will be addressed in the morning.

Look, you know how they say, "In like Flynn"? Well, THIS Flynn is the exception to the rule because he's OUT.

I'm the type that likes to hear from both sides so that I can make an informed decision.

I've already been called an idiot for suggesting this.

Serious answer.

He was fired because he didn't follow the spook protocol of putting his offer on a microdot and hiding it inside a hollowed out nickel hidden under a park bench.

Cannot tolerate such sloppy spookery.

What Flynn did was no different than Obama telling Russian officials he'll "have more flexibility after the election".

Obama did a 12 country foreign policy tour in 2008 while he was a candidate, making freaking preemptive deals left and right, including with the Saudi King, Qatar, and Iran, and not one goddamn thing was cried about it like the left is doing with Flynn.

Liberal hypocrisy as usual is all this is. This was a planned and exploited political attack designed to take a bite out of Trump. Nothing more.

No. The Obama administration did by wiretapping a private citizen without a warrant..so..

It appears to be gross misconduct. Not a violation of any law. In fact intelligence sources involved with the wiretapping are reporting that they don't believe a law was violated.

What I don't understand is why they were wiretapping Flynn and how did Yates become aware of it? Some are reporting that Flynn was the target. Others are reporting that a Russian diplomat was.
