The government has shut down 2 times. They will always pass a new bill that allows the Fed to print more money. No politician wants to be the one who allowed it to happen (except Ted, because he's an idiot). Better question: Why hasn't the Audit the Fed bill passed yet? What possible reason could anyone have for not auditing the fed?

I'm perfectly happy with a government shutdown in principle. Especially if the Whitehouse determines that we need to make the shutdown as non-noticeable as possible.

Yep, and Trump should state his intent to permanently do away with repetitive Bureaucracy that is not missed in that shutdown. You can bet that the Dems would drop the 'shutdown' strategy then.

However, the GOP is fricking up in their own right. If they would all get on the same page and fight the Dems on one front, if they still couldn't get stuff done , then next year they could tell voters "look, we''ve tried" and get a super majority because people ARE sick of the BS, only the partisan morons on the left are happy with what the Dems are doing right now, but infighting among the GOP isn't helping.
