1100 Dem seats gone since Obama's first term would say otherwise.

Clearly Trump had evolved on the issue. Lol
Also, a little FYI, we are a republic so you know technically Trump is correct.

The electoral college is indeed bad for a Democracy. Since we are a Constitutional Republic and not a Democracy, the electoral college is just fine.

For a national democracy, yes the electoral college is no bueno. For a republic like we are supposed to have the electoral college is precisely what is needed.
Fine, we'll just get rid of the winner-take-all thing and apportion the votes from each state. Still representative democracy and problem solved. You're welcome.

They're more in touch with America than the Republicans are, and the voting tally confirms that.
No, it doesn't.
You had a candidate that touted decades of preparation and experience, had every media outlet shilling for her, outspent Trump by huge margins, was the "anointed one" from day 1, had her own party railroad the nomination, and her opponent's party disown him, and she still lost. SHE did get more votes, but take away California, and she doesn't.
On the other hand, the vast majority of state legislatures and governors are Republicans. Both houses of Congress are Republican controlled. Most states voted Republican.
Your statement simply reinforces the idea that Dems are out of touch.

So we elected a President that thinks we're a Democracy rather than a Constitutional Republic?
Uh oh.

I'm sure his understanding has evolved a bit since running for President. Even if not, he's not Hillary so I don't care.

SHE did get more votes

So he figured it out some time between November 2012 and last month?
Phew. Good thing.

They are out of touch with the metrics needed in order to win an election.

Yep, good thing. Glad you agree.

Yes. That should tell you just how bad Hillary was. Thanks Dems!

And again, in a republic the states get to decide how to go about assigning their representation in the electoral college.

Again, republic not a democracy on the national level. In this regard anyway.

As for the OP, Dems may be "out of touch" with America, but Hillary Clinton, the weakest Democratic nominee since 1984, garnered 2.5+ million more votes of Americans than Trump.

Almost her entire PV lead was in California. How "in touch" are those people in LA?

And still lost. That's pretty pathetic. Why would we want someone so incapable of closing to be our president?
If I was a dem I would, out of self respect, never repeat this fact again.
