Democrat leadership knows how to pick candidates in Congress races and Republicans don't

Democrats had and are having a lot of success in the leadup to the congressional races in Kansas and Georgia because they ran young energetic candidates while Republicans ran stale boring bozos. Republicans need to get their Congressional arse together and make sure they run the best possible candidates in the toss up races and not think they have it in the bag based on the house elections of 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016.
Look at this shite.

What young energetic candidate in their right mind is a Republican in Trump's America?

Like Clinton?
There's a big difference in the national general election and picking local candidates for small congressional races. The Dems are really stepping their game up with these. Way fewer hands in the jar trying to get who they want.

Hillary Clinton - the definition of young and energetic. Good one.
Both sides run terrible candidates almost every time.
However in Missouri, there are two names that will be big players on both sides of the aisle nationally in the next few cycles.
GOP: Governor Eric Greitens (43)
Dem: Former Secretary of State Jason Kander (36)
I think the GOP has big plans for Greitens and same for the Dems with Kander. Both have excellent backgrounds and are charismatic.
Both oddly enough are also Jewish.

And they will be 0-2 in KS and GA. People are buying in way too much on this hype.

Also most people with any sense realize this Ossoff guy is just a pawn for the leftist establishment. He has no real stances he's just saying what they want him to say.
Of course a decent amount of people have lapped it up like always though.

My only prediction is that the Republican party will make the same mistake that the Democratic party made this past election: we will get cocky and not show up to the polls.
I hope the Repub party shows though.

It's not a super-complicated, scientific strategy. They tend to do what they did with Jon Bel. Just get a guy who served in the military, generally speaking. It puts a double move on moderates.
I don't know about this particular guy, but this is exactly what they did in 2006, and several other times.

5 things to know about GA 6
1. A red district in a red state.
2. A crowded race.
3. Poll results.
4. A complex district.
5. Why Ossoff doesn't live in the district.

When Karl Rove had a role on candidates that were running the GOP had a large advantage. He looked at the long term not just in national elections, but in down ballot elections.

Ossoff is going to lose his arse in the runoff.
Tom Price won district 6 every cycle by over 60%, and the polls on RCP each show only a sampling of 40% Republicans, 35% Independents, and 25% Democrats, and Ossoff is still only pushing a 40% turnout with the obvious under-sampling of Republicans.
Handel will win in the runoff with at least 55%, or more.
Ossoff is not reaching 50%+1.
Hell, the only reason he's as high as he is, is because early voters were bamboozled into believing he was an anti-Establishment pro-Trump Conservative because his early ads were deceptive and misleading as hell.

Democrats have no bench depth. they will be about to find good house candidates but that is about it. not a ton of dems are ready for senate, let alone the presidency.
osoff is a shitty candidate IMHO.

They did the same shite with Missouri democrats in statewide elections last fall especially Kander there and it was still a close race with him and Roy Blunt and thankfully Trump completely swamped him there. Just last year they had a democrat governor.
Republicans really need to get out and ahead of this false advertising and highlighting their liberal as shite record.

Can you imagine being such a bleeding mangina that you would run for office as a democrat?

And 48/43 isn't some overwhelming majority who approve of you, either.

Trump completely burning the polls to the ground in Missouri was one of the more remarkable things of the election. Missouri went from a bellwether state to Trump winning it by almost 19%.
