Interesting that a private company would go out on such a limb on such a controversial subject.

Well Delta is fighting a proposed second, much needed IMHO, Atlanta airport and needs a friendly federal government to intervene.

Do you think the two issues are related?

Well freak Delta, but they are the only airliner worth a shite to fly into JAN so I guess I will keep using them to fly home.

While I don't think the overall plan, as I have read it is bad, I 100% don't agree with doing it via EO...

frick Delta, will never fly with them.

Won't happen unless they close/jointly-use Dobbins.

Obama's proposal was entirely reasonable.

Seriously.
If the GOP had made that proposal, few would be up in arms. There is no path to citizenship, no actual amnesty, and an increased focus on deportation of criminals.

Though enacting the proposal thru EO was not reasonable, it was a telegraphed punch. GOP idiots could have absolutely destroyed the EO, before it was even issued. Instead Boehner and the GOP swallowed the President's troll, hook-line-and-sinker. They seem to have swallowed it so deeply that extracting the hook will be a bloody mess. Really a pitiful scene, considering what might have been.

Welp, won't fly Delta anymore. They can be the section 8 housing of the skies, all their passengers paid for by the gov. Enjoy.

Why wouldn't Delta side with an entirely reasonable precept?

My concern is what the difference will be between what he says his plan does and what it actually does.

Why would they given many of their customers oppose it??

Why would they even publicly comment??

The only explanation is they need plenty of friends in the Obama administration now.

Maybe you can find links to all the statements issued by the fortune 500 on the subject??

DAL wants to use the threat of immigrant workers to gain Concessions from their union baggage handlers and mechanics.

Obama,in his moment of stupidity, just handed Big Labor to the Republicans on a silver tray.

Yeah, didn't they just release 34,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens scott-free back into the US...some were rapist/murders. Follow what they do, this is the lying-est administration ever. They have made Bush look Bush-league in the lying games....

He's been oddly silent. I wonder if he had the sack to read the other thread.

You claimed my earlier post "had nothing to do with the OP".

Well, here comes another that you'll probably feel the same way about. Most of DAL's customers will not oppose specific proposals Obama made at all. Again, content of the EO was not unreasonable. Simply wasn't.

GOP Congressmen look like xenophobic fooIs attacking its contents, rather than its Executive Branch expansion. Amongst other things, Delta probably does not want to appear xenophobic along with them. It is what it is.
