wrong. you have cornered me with nothing lol. The numbers say, everu single resource I can find, that you are more likely to be raped in the Us than ANY of the countries being discussed.

cornered... man you have a strange definition of cornering someone.

I am thinking that the person responsible for her rape and death must not have been determined at time of her burial. But, if I am wrong, her family is extremely dedicated to helping refugees. Of course, the heinous act was committed by a single refugee, but not sure many would show such understanding.

I did not ignore the quote, but I also did not equate it with aiding and abetting your enemies.

You're right. Equating Muslims and the KKK was pretty retarded. Muslims are responsible for thousands of times more death and destruction than that band of hillbillies and rednecks could ever dream about.

Look, my Holy Book says I should love my neighbor as myself. It says to love my enemies, turn the other cheek, and forgive as many times as is necessary to those who wrong me.

The Muslim holy book is just the opposite. It calls for peace among Muslims, but it spells out pretty plainly how infidels should be treated. Convert or die, pay the dhimmi or become a slave. Those are the options for the so-called infidels under the religion of peace. Doesn't sound so peaceful to me.

It also says that lying to infidels to further the cause of allah is perfectly OK.

Now, who is the blind one?

Nowhere in there is the word Islam or Muslim or Mosque. For all I know there is a Christian church in Germany that does outreach work to Bangladesh. No different than many Christian churches in America. In other words, he is saying to support the Christian church that does outreach in Bangladesh. I do not get that he is saying to send money to a Mosque or to Muslim immigrants or anything of that sort.

If that is what he stated, then I applaud him. If the statement is as was initially reported, then I stand by my initial statement.

When you import people from 3rd world shitholes, you are going to get 3rd world values and 3rd world behavior.

Put a tablespoonful of wine into sewage and its still sewage.

Put a teaspoonful of sewage into wine and the wine is completely destroyed forever.

Considering that I've lived in Afghanistan for 2 years in multiple provinces and Iraq for 4 years throughout the entire country including the syrian border and Kurdistan, lebanon for almost a full year, qatar, Yemen, traveled to and through virtually all the other ME nations, I'd say my opinion is noteworthy.

Rape happens everywhere. it's not more prevalent in the arab world than it is here. The culture is built at least in part on the protection of women. In some cases to an extreme degree. To rape someone's daughter in the ME is one of the worst things a man can do. In a remote village, it is almost certain that the perpetrator of a domestic rape if a female will be dealt with harshly. It's a rare event for a number of obvious reasons. In the city, it is slightly nore common, but punishment for rape is severe in the middle east. Yes, there are fricked up laws that punish women raped without a male escort present. that's despicable. in the case listed on this thread, the men got between 2 and 9 years on appeal and the ue woman was lashed 200 times. fair? no. despicable? yes, but many rapists in the US have (stanford anyone?) have gotten off with less.

Afganistans biggest social issue is the Pashtun predilection for boy sex. There is no arguing that this is a serious issue and happens frequently and I have many stories about this, one specific case in which I was personally involved. We out an end to it occurring near the area of our control. I'm sure it continued elsewhere, but I can't do anything about that. Boy sex and rape and molestation goes back well before Islam in that culture. If you make a "your mom" or "your sister" joke to a Pashtun man, he will very possibly attempt to kill you or harm you seriously. that is how serious they protect their women. Oddly, grandmothers who are no longer fertile are usually fair game.

I'm sorry that these experiences and the links I have provided shatter the collective perception of Muslims as rape crazed woman haters. I'm sure that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Well duh considering that we have near 340 million people here in this country .

I would expect the stats to reflect that.

Doesn't mean the mideast is some shining beacon of western civilization that cherishes women and gives them full autonomy and control over their self determination.

No of course not. I never said that. Please don't misconstrue what I said. The ME has a lot to learn about liberty. I've seem that first hand. I5 is not, however, a haven for rapists, nor is it more likely that one will be raped there than it is here.

Depends on how you define rape of course. I personally don't even know what the definition of rape in the US is anymore.

Oh I agree totally. very valid point. the DOJ defines rape as being penetrated against ones will. seems pretty legit to me, but who knows how valid these studies are honestly.

What happens when young men from a sexually restrictive culture move to the west? What happens when they encounter women who dress, in their view, like whores?

The DOJ figure is probably pretty accurate.

The other figures are questionable, to say the least.
